Queenbreaker is good now in Destiny 2

Queenbreaker is now one of the best DPS weapons and one of the most versatile heavy weapons in the game. This has been in the game for a long time, however with recent buffs to the weapon and Linear Fusions in general, this thing is outputting major damage, and you will want to get this ASAP. Today I’m going to look at The Queenbreaker, the catalyst, how to get it and why it’s good in Destiny 2.

How to get The Queenbreaker

You can get this one from Xur when he’s selling it or through his exotic engrams.

The Queenbreaker

The Queenbreaker is an Exotic Power Linear Fusion Rifle with a Wire Rifle where you can swap between scopes and alter this weapon’s firing behavior.

Hip-Fire Grip – Increases accuracy, stability, and precision hit targeting when firing from the hip.

Looking at the stats we have Impact 41, Range 50, Stability 90, Handling 35, Reload Speed 60, Charge Time 633, and Magazine 6.

How to get The Queenbreaker Catalyst

You can get this by playing vanguard, crucible or gambit matches. I had mine drop in Trials of Osiris, so keep playing playlist matches and it will drop. Once you get the catalyst you’ll need 400 kills with it to unlock the Rewind Rounds perk, which you can easily do in The Last Wish raid SHuro Chi location, you can get there using the Wishing Wall code.

The Queenbreaker Catalyst

Rewind Rounds – When this weapon’s magazine is empty, it refills from reserves based on the number of hits.

The Queenbreaker changes in Heresy

Can now swap between its two scopes using special reload that also alters the weapon’s firing behavior:

  • Marksman Sights fires a single-shot bolt that chains to nearby targets and blinds them on hit.
  • Combat Sights fires a three-round burst that decreases charge time even further on sustained damage.
  • While the scopes can be swapped between at any time, selecting the scope node in the inspection screen lets players choose which scope they want equipped by default when spawning in.
  • Increased the search range of the chain projectiles from eight meters to ten meters.
  • Linear fusions have seen a 10% damage buff in PVE vs. all combatants

Why Queenbreaker is good now

Queenbreaker now has the built-in ability to Blind foes and chain lightning to opponents nearby, Marksman Sights mode, which delivers a single high-power shot, dishes out potent single-target DPS with respectable AoE, bolstered even further with the return of an ultra-powerful seasonal Artifact perk, Particle Reconstruction. This means dealing sustained damage with Fusion Rifles or Linear Fusion Rifles partially refills the magazine from reserves and grants them bonus damage for a short duration against that target. The buffs plus the catalyst make this great, even when Particle Reconstruction goes away at the end of the Episode.

Let me know in the comments what you think.
