Autumn Wind is a rapid-fire frame pulse rifle added to Crucible in Season of Defiance. Rapid Fire Pulse Rifles have always been popular, and this is a great addition to the PVP loot pool. Today I want to look closer at the stat, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus how to get Autumn Wind in Destiny 2.
How to get Autumn Wind
To get this one you have to play crucible, and it’s the featured weapon for crucible this season, meaning you’ll have a chance for it to drop for you after matches. You’ll also be able to get it by ranking up with Lord Shaxx in the Tower. This week is Iron Banner week, and as you are playing Iron Banner you’ll probably notice this one dropping a lot, so playing Iron Banner is also a very good way of getting Autumn Wind.
In future seasons after season 20, Lord Shaxx will also offer this Pulse Rifle via focusing options. This won’t happen in Season 20, but if you are watching this in the future (after June 2023), then you should be able to pick this one up from Shaxx in exchange for materials.
Autumn Wind
Autumn Wind is a Legendary Kinetic Pulse Rifle is a Rapid-Fire Frame with deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. Looking at the stats Impact 23, Range 32, Stability 47, Handling 25, Reload Speed 34, Airborne Effectiveness 15, Rounds Per Minute 540, and Magazine 37.
The Origin Trait is called One Quiet Moment which grants increased reload speed when out of combat.
Disparity has been a fan favourite regarding Pulse Rifles in the Crucible, and Pulse Rifles are doing well right now. This one is a rapid fire frame pulse, and that means it’s going to be a popular choice. Piece of Mind was a top choice during The Witch Queen expansion, but given this one is a cruicble drop, this is going to be a much better long term option, as in future seasons Shaxx will be selling it through focusing.
Autumn Wind God Roll Guide
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Demolitionist and Rampage/Adrenaline Junkie is good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
- Rampage – Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x.
- Adrenaline Junkie – This weapon gains increased damage and handling from final blows with grenades or this weapon.
For PvP Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Killing Wind and Rampage.
- Hammer-Forged Rifling – Increases range
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, slightly increases range
- Killing Wind – Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration.
- Rampage – Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x.
