Until It’s Return is a strand shotgun added to Destiny 2 as part of Season of the Deep. It’s a decent shotgun, which suits PVE players rather than PVP. Today I am going to check out the stats in more detail, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus how to get Until It’s Return in Destiny 2.
How to get Until It’s Return
To get Until It’s Return you’ll need to take part in the seasonal activities called Deep Dive and Salvage, which can be accessed via the H.E.L.M. You will need to own Season of the Deep to play these activities. You can also focus Deep Engrams at the H.E.L.M. for Season of the Deep loot, including Until It’s Return.

Until It’s Return is a Legendary Kinetic Shotgun with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning it fires full auto with deeper ammo reserves. Faster reload when weapon is empty. Looking at the stats we have Impact 65, Range 28, Stability 32, Handling 36, Reload Speed 61, Airborne Effectiveness 3, Rounds Per Minute 140, Magazine 7.
The origin trait on this one is Unsated Hunger which increased handling, reload speed, and stability when no abilities are fully charged.
Until It’s Return god roll guide
For PVE there are a few decent combinations.
Autoloading Holster and Vorpal. Autoloading Holster is where the holstered weapon is automatically reloaded after a short period of time. Vorpal Weapon is good for increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
Threat Detector and Surrounded. Threat Detector is where increased reload, stability, and handling when enemies are in close proximity. Surrounded this weapon gains bonus damage when three or more enemies are in close proximity.
Also, Collective Action is worth keeping an eye out for. Collecting elemental pickups or throwing a Strand Tangle grants a stacking period of increased damage.
For PVP the perk choice is pretty poor, so I’d go for another shotgun in that slot.
