Unforgiven is a Submachine Gun added to Destiny 2 as part of the Duality Dungeon in Season of the Haunted. This is a deadly void SMG, which is great for Void 3.0 builds, plus a great energy weapon for all Guardians too. This thing tears through enemies like they aren’t there, and today I am going to check out the stats, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE plus look at how to get Unforgiven in Destiny 2.
Unforgiven is a Legendary Energy Submachine Gun with an Aggressive Frame meaning High damage, and high recoil. Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 43, Stability 16, Handling 50, Reload Speed 21, Rounds Per Minute 750, and Magazine 28.
Unforgiven, as well as the other 3 new weapons in the Dungeon, come with the Origin Trait Bitterspite. While the weapon is equipped, taking damage accelerates its next reload. This is going to be good for bosses, where often you’ll be taking plenty of damage, and having that quick reload is going to help you get out of trouble.
Unforgiven may have the best rolls of any void submachine gun in Destiny 2 at the moment, and that’s saying something, especially considering Funnel Web is out there and dominating the most-wanted lists for SMGs. Unforgiven also has an aggressive frame, meaning more damage output that the 900 variants of SMGs, giving this another reason to go after this season and beyond.
Unforgiven God Roll Guide
For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Richocet Rounds, Demolitionist and Adrenaline Junkie would be a good roll.
- Corkscrew Rifling – Slightly increases range and stability, Slightly increases handling speed
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
- Adrenaline Junkie – This weapon gains increased damage and handling from final blows with grenades or this weapon.
For PVE Chambered Compensator, High Calibre Rounds, Feeding Frenzy and Frenzy would be a good roll.
- Chambered Compensator – Increases stability, Moderately controls recoil, Slightly decreases handling speed
- High Calibre Rounds – Slightly increases range.
- Feeding Frenzy – Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time.
- Frenzy – Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling, and reload for this weapon until you are out of combat.
How to get Unforgiven
To get this one you will have to run the Duality Dungeon, recently added as part of Season of the Haunted. I got this one to drop for me from the second encounter. In the previous Dungeon, we’ve had a loot table, where specific loot drops from specific bosses. Let me know where you got the SMG from, but I think the second encounter is the one to target if you are looking to get this SMG.
After the second encounter, you also have the secret chest in the Duality Dungeon, so remember to pick that up and you may get another roll, which is good if you first one wasn’t the one you were looking for. This is only going to drop the loot you have already got. Unfortunately, the newly designed Dungeon weapons aren’t craftable (non-Opulent Weapons), so we’re going to have to wait for that in a later season.
The good news with the Duality Dungeon is you can farm this Dungeon right from day one. This means you can go in time and time again, and you’ll get loot as a reward. Previously in Dungeons loot has been locked per week, but this one is different, meaning you’ll hopefully have all the Duality Dungeon loot you want very soon.
Let me know in the comments what you think of Unforgiven, and share your best rolls with the community.
