Undercurrent is a new wave frame arc grenade launcher added into Destiny 2 in Season of the Wish. Forbearance has been the king of arc wave frames since the release of Vow of the Disciple, however, that’s a raid weapon and this one is going to be much more accessible to more players. Today I’m going to check out Undercurrent, the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Undercurrent in Destiny 2.
How to get Undercurrent
Undercurrent is a Nightfall weapon in Season of the Wish. To get Undercurrent you’ll want to run Nightfalls when it’s the featured weapon for the week, and I’d recommend Legendary, Master or Grandmaster. On Legend or Master you’ll get a regular Undercurrent, if you run a grandmaster you’ll get an Adept version.
Once you have the weapon to drop for you, you’ll then be able to focus more at Zavala. You’ll need 5 Vanguard engrams plus glimmer, but it’s a good way to get additional rolls without having to run nightfalls over and over.

Summary
Undercurrent is competing directly with Forbearance, which is probably one of the best add clear weapons in the game. However, given Forbearance is a raid weappon, then only a small proportion of the community is going to have access to the weapon, as roughly 11% of players complete a raid in Destiny.
Forbearance is great because of chain reaction, and while Undercurrent doesn’t have that it does have Voltshot and One for All. Undercurrent does have Ambitious Assassin, Demolitionist, and Stats for All, so it has plenty of good perks, and while it doesn’t quite reach the heights of it’s raid weapon brother, it’s still very good for arc builds, and it’s a weapon you’ll want to have in your inventory this season and future seasons.
