The Summoner has returned to Trials of Osiris in Season of the Wish, and it’s a great time for Auto Rifles in PVP right now. Today I want to take a closer look at The Summoner, the stats, perks and god rolls plus how to get The Summoner in Destiny 2.
How to get The Summoner
To get this Trials Auto Rifle you’ll have to play Trials of Osiris. You can get the weapon as a random drop from Trials engrams, or if you go flawless on a week when the weapon is the Adept weapon, then you’ll get the Apdet version. One good way of getting this weapon is by taking up the Passage of Persistence, which was introduced in update 7.3.5.
The Summoner
The Summoner is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle with an Adaptive Frame meaning it’s a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 21, Range 40, Stability 41, Handling 70, Reload Speed 56, Aim Assistance 62, Airborne Effectiveness 24, Rounds Per Minute 600, and Magazine 42.
We have a choice of Origin Traits
- Alacrity – Gain increased reload, stability, aim assist, and range when you are the last living member of your fireteam or running solo.
- One Quiet Moment – Grants increased reload speed and handling when out of combat.
- Wild Card – Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location.
The Summoner god roll
The Summoner dominated when it first came into Destiny 2 in Season of the Worthy. While the 600rpms aren’t as dominant as they were, the newly introduced perk pool is very strong. It means that getting almost any perk combination is going to be strong. We have Incandescent, Heal Clip, Onslaught and Subsistence – all very strong for all game modes.
For PVE Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Subsistence, Onslaught, Wild Card, Stability Masterwork would be good.
- Polygonal Rifling – Increases stability
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Subsistence – Defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves.
- Onslaught – Final blows with this weapon increase its rate of fire.
- Wild Card
- Stability Masterwork
For PVP Chambered Compensator, High-Caliber Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Kill Clip, Alacrity and Range Masterwork would be good.
- Chambered Compensator – Increases stability, Moderately controls recoil, Slightly decreases handling speed
- High-Caliber Rounds – Slightly increases range
- Heal Clip – Reloading shortly after dealing a final blow grants Cure to you and your nearby allies.
- Onslaught – Final blows with this weapon increase its rate of fire.
- Alacrity
- Range Masterwork
Let me know what you think in the comments.
