How to get The Prophet (Legendary Scout Rifle) in Destiny 2

The Prophet is a stasis scout rifle added to Destiny 2 in Season of the Wish. This is a Tex Mechanica weapon, the foundry that brought us Last Word and Dead Man’s Tale. Today I’m going to take a closer look at The Prophet, the stats, perks, god rolls, plus how to get The Prophet in Destiny 2.

How to get The Prophet

To get The Prophet you’ll have to take part in Trials of Osiris, the weekend PVP event in Destiny 2. To take part, pick up a passage card from Saint-14, and you’ll get The Prophet as a random reward from Trials engrams. You get Trials engrams when you rank up with Saint-14, plus once uyou have it in your inventory you can focus Trials engrams at Saint-14 for different rolls of The Prophet. When the weapon is the featured weapon for the week, you’ll be able to get an Adept version of the weapon.

The Prophet

The Prophet is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has High damage, high recoil. Looking at the stats we have Impact 100, Range 59, Stability 29, Handling 54, Reload Speed 49, Airborne Effectiveness 16, Rounds Per Minute 120, and Magazine 13.

We have a choice of Origin Traits

  • Alacrity – Gain increased reload, stability, aim assist, and range when you are the last living member of your fireteam or running solo.
  • One Quiet Moment – Grants increased reload speed and handling when out of combat.
  • Tex Balanced Stock – Damaging targets while firing from the hip increases handling, reload speed, and movement speed while aiming down sights.

The Prophet comes with a great perk pool, meaning this is going to be a great pick up for both PVP and PVE content. It’s a stasis weapon, so it’s going to be useful for your stasis builds too. It’s similar to The Long Arm from the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon, and the first Legendary Tex Machanica scout rifle available outside Dungeons.

The Prophet god roll guide

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Flared Magwell, Demolitionist and Headstone would be good.

  • Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • Flared Magwell – Slightly increases stability, Greatly increases reload speed
  • Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
  • Headstone – Precision final blows spawn a Stasis crystal at the victim’s location.

Outlaw and Kill Clip is also very good.

For PVP Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit and Kill Clip would be good.

  • Hammer-Forged Rifling – Increases range
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases range
  • Rapid Hit – Rapid precision hits temporarily increase stability and reload speed.
  • Kill Clip – Reloading after a kill grants increased damage.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
