Rapacious Appetite is a stasis SMG added to Destiny 2 as part of Season of the Deep. This one is a powerful Submachine Gun that packs a real punch, and it’s quickly shot up the charts of the most popular weapons in Destiny 2. Today I am going to walk through the stats, the perks, the god rolls to chase for PVP and PVE, plus how to get Rapacious Appetite in Destiny 2.
How to get the Rapacious Appetite
To get this one you want to take part in the seasonal activities for Season of the Deep called Salvage or Deep Dive. You can access these from the H.E.L.M. although you have to own Season of the Deep to do so. When you unlock the “Deep weapons focusing” challenge then you’ll be able to focus Deep engrams to get further rolls of this weapon, plus it’s craftable too by extracting the deepsight on 5 versions of the weapon, then you’ll get the pattern which you can take to the enclave on Mars.
Rapacious Appetite

Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 43, Stability 6, Handling 53, Reload Speed 22, Aim Assistance 27, Airborne Effectiveness 18, Rounds Per Minute 750 and Magazine 27.
The origin trait here is Unsated Hunger, Increased handling, reload speed, and stability when no abilities are fully charged. Swords gain increased guard resistance and charge rate instead.
Rapacious Appetite god roll guide
For PVE Corkscrew Rifling, Flared Magwell, Envious Assassin, Frenzy would be good.
- Corkscrew Rifling – Slightly increases range and stability, Slightly increases handling speed
- Flared Magwell – Slightly increases stability, Greatly increases reload speed
- Envious Assassin – Rapidly defeating targets with other weapons before drawing this one transfers ammo to the magazine from reserves. This effect can overflow the magazine based on the number of targets defeated.
- Frenzy – Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling, and reload for this weapon until you are out of combat.
For PVP Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Perpetual Motion, and Target Lock would be a good roll for the Cruicble.
- Polygonal Rifling – Increases stability
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Perpetual Motion – This weapon gains bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the wielder is in motion.
- Target Lock – Damage increases the longer this weapon remains on a target.
