Origin Story is back in Destiny 2 and this is a decent auto rifle for different game modes. Today I’d like to take a closer look at the weapon, the stats, perks, god rolls, plus how to get Origin Story in Destiny 2.

How to get Origin Story

To get this one you can get Origin Story to drop from Strikes, which can be found in the Vanguard menu via the Director. You can also focus engrams with Zavala to pick up a copy of Origin Story.

Origin Story

Origin Story is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 29, Range 59, Stability 40, Handling 52, Reload Speed 41, Rounds Per Minute 450, Magazine 32.

We have a couple of origin traits for selection:

• Vanguard’s Vindication – Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health.
• Nadir Focus – Sustained fire increases accuracy and range. Increases lunge distance for Swords, and projectile velocity for Launchers.

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Flared Magwell, Demolitionist, Kinetic Tremors

• Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
• Flared Magwell – Slightly increases stability, Greatly increases reload speed
• Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
• Kinetic Tremors – Sustained kinetic damage to a target emits a shockwave that damages any nearby targets.

For PVP Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Onslaught

• Smallbore – Increases range, Increases stability
• Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
• Dynamic Sway Reduction – Improves accuracy and stability while continuously holding down the trigger.
• Onslaught – Final blows with this weapon increase its rate of fire.
