Nightshade has returned to Destiny 2, this time as a Strand Pulse Rifle. We’ve also got an updated perk pool for this one, but the classic Vanguard design. Today I want to take a closer look at Nightshade, check out the perks, stats and god rolls for PVE and PVP, plus how to get Nighshade in Destiny 2.
How to get Nightshade
To get this one you can focus Witch Engrams at the Ritual Table in the H.E.L.M. and you’re looking for Recovered Red War Weapons. The weapon in this loot pool also drop from Altars of Summoning and Savathun’s Spire, however, the best way to get the weapon is save up a bunch of Witch Engrams and decode at the Ritual Table and it won’t be long before Nightshade drops for you.
Nightshade
Nightshade is a Legendary Kinetic Pulse Rifle with a Lightweight Frame and it deals Strand damage. It also has superb handling plus you move faster with this weapon equipped. Looking at the stats we have Impact 27, Range 33, Stability 54, Handling 66, Reload Speed 58, Airborne Effectiveness 10, Rounds Per Minute 450 and Magazine 30.
This one comes with a couple of Origin Traits:
Vanguard’s Vindication – Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health.
Nadir Focus – Sustained fire increases accuracy and range. Increases lunge distance for Swords, and projectile velocity for Launchers.
Nightshade God Roll Guide
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Outlaw and Hatchling would be good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Outlaw – Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
- Hatchling – Precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets with a non-precision weapon spawns a Threadling at the target’s location.
For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Enlightened Action and Headseeker would be good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
- Enlightened Action – Dealing damage improves reload speed and handling.
- Headseeker – Body shots landed with this weapon increase precision damage and aim assist for a short time. Body shots landed while the perk is active refresh the time.
Let me know in the comments what you think.
