Naeem’s Lance is a sniper added to Destiny 2 in Season of the Wish. We’ve recently had a decent buff to sniper rifles, meaning it’s time to go out there and hunt for a new sniper, or dust an old one off from your vault. Today I’m going to take a closer look at Naeem’s Lance, the stats, the perk combinations and god rolls, plus how to get Naeem’s Lance in Destiny 2.

How to get Naeem’s Lance

To get this one you’ll want to enter the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon on the EDZ. You can get this sniper to drop for you on the second and third encounters.

Naeem’s Lance

Naeem’s Lance is a Legendary Kinetic Sniper Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning it has deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. Looking at the stats we have Impact 55, Range 36, Stability 40, Handling 60, Reload Speed 55, Airborne Effectiveness 4, Rounds Per Minute 140, and Magazine 5.

This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.

Unfortunately, Naeem’s Lance falls short in both PVE and PVP, with much better snipers out there to choose from. It’s a Strand Sniper, which is pretty rare in the game at the moment, so it’s good for strand builds if you want to put something together for that element. It’s perk pool is pretty weak though, with really only one decent combination in PVE content (Reconstruction and Precision Instrument). In the current sandbox strand fusion rifles outperforms Naeem’s Lance in almost every department. In PVP the situation is even worst, with no real viability, plus we have many better snipers out there right now, so I personally would look elsewhere.

For PVE Fluted Barrel, Appended Mag, Reconstruction, Precision Instrument, Handling masterwork would be good.

• Fluted Barrel – Greatly increases handling speed, Slightly increases stability
• Appended Mag – Increases magazine size
• Reconstruction – This weapon slowly reloads itself over time, up to double capacity.
• Precision Instrument – Dealing sustained damage increases precision damage.
• Handling masterwork

For PVP Fluted Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, Keep Away or Discord, Demolitionist, Stability Masterwork would be good.

• Fluted Barrel – Greatly increases handling speed, Slightly increases stability
• Ricochet Rounds – Increases stability, Slightly increases range
• Keep Away – Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no targets are in close proximity.
• Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
• Stability Masterwork
