Hushed Whisper is a strand combat bow added to Destiny 2 in Festival of the Lost. This one is an excellent combat bow, plus it’s great for strand build and it holds it own in PVE and excels in PVP. Today I’m going to check out the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Hushed Whisper in Destiny 2.
How to get Hushed Whisper
Hushed Whisper can be obtained through Eerie Engrams, which drop from both Festival of the Lost activities (Like Haunted Altars or Red Rumble). You can also earn up to two additional Eerie Engrams per day from other Portal activities. Beyond that, the weapon can be purchased with Candy, unlocked through Event Home Rank rewards, or bought directly from the Event Shop. Best of all, any Hushed Whisper you acquire will drop at a higher Power Level than your current one.
Hushed Whisper
Hushed Whisper is a Legendary Kinetic Combat Bow with a Precision Frame meaning it’s a Compound Bow. Longer draw time optimized for damage. Looking at the stats we have Impact 76, Accuracy 67, Stability 42, Handling 50, Reload Speed 40, Draw Time 684.
The Origin Traits are Search Party and Wild Card
- Search Party This weapon is granted faster aim down sights speed and movement speed while aiming down sights when no allies are near.
- Wild Card Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location.
Hushed Whisper stands out as a Strand bow that leans more heavily into Strand mechanics than its only counterpart, Vengeful Whisper. The addition of Tear gives it unique value in PvE, making it the only bow capable of applying this effect. Still, despite this niche, it struggles to compete with stronger weapons overall, as Strand remains one of the weaker subclasses. For most PvE activities, there are far more effective bows to choose from.
In PvP, however, Hushed Whisper fares better. As a Precision Frame bow that can roll Lone Wolf and Archer’s Gambit, it offers strong dueling potential. This combination enables a time-to-kill of roughly one second with just two hits — one precision and one body shot — a feat made easier by Lone Wolf. While bows aren’t dominant in the current PvP meta, this one is arguably the best choice for those who prefer them.

For PVE Polymer String, Compact Arrow Shaft, Tear, Hatchling, Masterwork Accuracy, Origin Trait Wild Card
- Polymer String – Slightly increases accuracy, Slightly faster draw time
- Compact Arrow Shaft – Increases handling speed, Increases reload speed
- Tear – Precision final blows cause nearby targets to become severed.
- Hatchling – Precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets with this weapon spawns a Threadling at the target’s location.

For PVP Polymer String, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft, Lone Wolf, Archer’s Gambit, Masterwork Reload Speed, Origin Trait Wild Card
- Polymer String – Slightly increases accuracy, Slightly faster draw time
- Fiberglass Arrow Shaft – Greatly increases accuracy, Slightly decreases stability
- Lone Wolf – Slightly improves aim assist, aim down sights speed, and airborne effectiveness. Increases these effects when there are no nearby allies.
- Archer’s Gambit – Hipfire precision hits grant a massive draw-speed bonus for a short duration.
- Masterwork Reload Speed
