How to get D.F.A. (Legendary Hand Cannon) Plus God Roll Guide in Destiny 2

D.F.A. is back in Destiny 2 after taking a short hiatus, and it’s back as a Nightfall exclusive reward this season. All of the Nightfall weapons available, this is going to be one of the most sought after. Today I am going to check out the stats, the perks, god rolls to chase for PVE and PVP plus look at how to get D.F.A. in Destiny 2.

D.F.A. is a Legendary Kinetic Hand Cannon with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 84, Range 45, Stability 54, Handling 42, Reload Speed 47, Rounds Per Minute 140 and Magazine 9.

The last time we saw a relevant D.F.A. was before Beyond Light, and then it was sunset in the biggest change to the game we’ve seen. This meant D.F.A. was no longer useful in activities higher than the capped power level. That is now a thing of the past, and Bungie thankfully changed their mind on that decision, and have brought D.F.A. back into the Destiny 2.

D.F.A. God Roll Guide

For PVE Chambered Compensator, Tactical Mag, Outlaw and Rampage would be a good roll.

  • Chambered Compensator – Increases stability, Moderately controls recoil, Slightly decreases handling speed
  • Tactical Mag – Slightly increases stability, Increases reload speed, Slightly increases magazine size
  • Outlaw – Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
  • Rampage – Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x.

For PVP Hammer Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Perpetual Motion and Vorpal Weapon would be a decent roll.

  • Hammer Forged Rifling – Increases range
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases range
  • Perpetual Motion – This weapon gains bonus stability, handling, and reload speed while the wielder is in motion.
  • Opening Shot – Improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of attack.

D.F.A. also has a couple of useful Origin Traits, making this weapon even better. Given it’s a nightfall weapon, they are suited to PVE game modes.

Stunning Recovery – Stunning a Champion partially refills your magazine, triggers health regeneration, and improves recovery for a short duration.

Vanguard’s Vindication – Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health.

How to get D.F.A.

To get the D.F.A. you’ll need to run Nightfall Strikes when D.F.A. is in the rotation. D.F.A. is a reward that has a chance at dropping from the boss when you kill them. Nightfall exclusive legendary weapons are more likely to drop when you do higher level Nightfalls like Legend or Master nightfalls. These aren’t matchmade, so you’ll need to find a team to run these activities. You can do that through Bungie’s app, or other LFG websites. At the time of making and publishing this guide D.F.A. is available as the Nightfall reward this week, so if you have been looking forward to this weapon then I’d jump in. It’s a relatively quick Nightfall to get through, especially if you have a decent Solar 3.0 build.

Let me know in the comments what you think of the returning D.F.A. and let me know your favourite rolls.
