Cynosure is a Rocket Launcher which is part of the Vanguard Ops set of weapons. This is an adaptive frame rocket launcher, plus it’s strand so it’s going to pair well with your Strand builds. Today I will take a closer look at the weapon, the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Cynosure in Destiny 2.
How to get Cynosure
Cynosure is a Vanguard Ops weapon, which means it drops from the end of Strikes or Nightfalls. Beat the boss in these activites and you have the chance for the weapon to drop for you. Often you can double up in Nightfalls to get extra loot. You can also buy it from Zavala in the Tower for 3 Vanguard Engrams and 5,000 Glimmer.
Cynosure
Cynosure is a Legendary Strand Power Rocket Launcher with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Blast Radius 50, Velocity 54, Stability 44, Handling 41, Reload Speed 39, Rounds Per Minute 20, Magazine 1.
We have a choice of Origin Traits on this one. First, Vanguard’s Vindication. Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health. Second, SUros Synergy. Reloading grants this weapon bonus handling and reduces incoming flinch for a short time.

For PVE Quick Launch, Impact Casing, Envious Arsenal, Explosive Light, Masterwork Velocity
- Quick Launch – Greatly increases handling speed, Increases projectile speed
- Impact Casing – Increases stability
- Envious Arsenal – Dealing damage with both other weapons before readying this weapon refills it from reserves.
- Explosive Light – Picking up an Orb of Power increases the next projectile’s blast radius and damage.
- Masterwork Velocity
For PVP Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Tracking Module, Cluster Bomb, Masterwork Velocity
- Quick Launch – Greatly increases handling speed, Increases projectile speed
- High-Velocity Rounds – Increases projectile speed, Increases reload speed
- Tracking Module – Adds tracking capability to rockets. Locks onto targets when aiming down sights.
- Cluster Bomb – Rockets spawn cluster bombs upon detonation.
- Masterwork Velocity
