Guns in Helldivers 2 are a way to spread the good word of democracy, and getting new guns means you can spread the democracy faster and further. Today I want to look at how to get new weapons, so you can maximise the fun and increase your tactical options in Helldivers 2.
Not all guns are available at the start of Helldivers 2. Infact, your armory is pretty small, and opening up new weapons is key to flying the flag for Super Earth.
To get new primary and secondary weapons in Helldivers 2 you’ll have to spend medals at Warbonds from the Acquisitions Center. If you want to maximise the weapons you earn, then focusing your medals on weapons is the key.
You can view the Acquisitions Center from your ship at any time by pressing the button that appeard at the top of the screen e.g. R, Square, X etc depending on control pad or keyboard input methods. This opens up the store with the Warbonds on the home screen.
At the game’s launch the Helldivers Mobilize! Warbond is the free option and it has 10 pages worth of items include the following weapons:
SG-8 Punisher Shotgun (4 Medals)
G-6 Frag Grenade (2 Medals)
P-19 Redeemer Machine Pistol (5 Medals)
R-63 Diligence Marksman Rifle (8 Medals)
SMG-37 Defender (15 Medals)
SG-225 Breaker Shotgun (20 Medals)
LAS-5 Scythe Beam Rifle (30 Medals)
G-16 Impact Grenade (20 Medals)
AR-23P Liberator Assault Rifle (40 Medals)

G-3 Smoke Grenade (25 Medals)
SG8S Slugger Shotgun (60 Medals)
SG225SP Breaker Spray & Pray Shotgun (60 Medals)
PLAS-1 Scorcher Plasma Rifle (75 Medals)
The other Warbond is the paid version called Steeled Veterans. You may have this having purchased the Super Citizen version of the Helldivers 2. To unlock these weapons you have to use Super Credits, the game’s premium currency (which you can earn for free). The weapons included here are:
P-4 Senator Revolver (15 Medals)
AR-23E Liberator Explosive (20 Medals)
G-10 Incendiary Grenade (25 Medals)
SG-225IE Incendiary Shotgun (60 Medals)
JAR-5 Dominator Rifle (80 Medals)
Heavy weapons like the Anti-Materiel Rifle and Recoilless Rifle can be unlocked by interacting with requisitions terminal aboard your ship, which is found near the Helldiver cryo pod bay. Here you can spend the Requisition, including new stratagems, and heavy weapons. Here’s all the heavy and support weapons in Helldivers 2 at launch
