The Dragoncult Sickle is a Sword added to Destiny 2 through the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon. This is a Strand Caster Sword, and it’s going to go very well with your Strand builds. Caster Swords mean you can stand back and cast prjectiles at your enemies, meaning you don’t have to get up close and personal like other swords. Today I am going to take a closer look at the Dragoncult Sickle, the stats, perks, god rolls, plus how to get Dragoncult Sickle in Destiny 2.
How to get Dragoncult Sickle
To get Dragoncult Sickle you’ll have to run the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon. It can drop from the first encounter, Rathil, or the final boss encounter, Hefnd’s Vengeance Blighted Chimera. The best and easiest way to get this sword is to farm the first encounter, as it’s nice and easy to get to and the encounter can be done quickly.
Dragoncult Sickle
Dragoncult Sickle is a Legendary Power Sword that deals Strand damage and has a Caster Frame meaning you can Launch a heavy projectile attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy. Looking at the stats we have Swing Speed 40, Impact 60, Charge Rate 50, Magazine 50, and Ammo Capacity 60.
This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.
Dragoncult Sickle god roll guide
For PvE Honed Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Tireless Blade and Surrounded would be good.
- Honed Edge – Increased sword damage
- Swordmaster’s Guard – Sword Guard has low overall defenses, but increases charge rate.
- Tireless Blade – Sword ammo granted for every other powered sword kill.
- Surrounded – This weapon gains bonus damage when three or more enemies are in close proximity.
For PvP Honed Edge, Burst Guard, Tireless Blade and En Garde would be good.
- Honed Edge – Increased sword damage
- Burst Guard – Sword Guard has high resistance, but low endurance.
- Tireless Blade – Sword ammo granted for every other powered sword kill.
- En Garde – Quick attacks immediately after swapping to this sword do additional damage.
Summary
Dragoncult Sickle is similar to other caster frame swords, given you can stand back and launch projectiles at your opponents from a distance. It’s the first strand caste frame, meaning if you love to run strand builds, and swords, this could be a good option. However, in the current sandbox caster frames aren’t in the best place, but that doesn’t mean Bungie won’t buff them in the future to make them better. Much like the other weapons from Warlord’s Ruin, the perk pool doesn’t blow me away and it’s not a must-have weapon we may have wanted from Dungeon weapons, although it’s decent enough to grab and store away in your vault incase we have a blanket buff of caster frames in the future.
Let me know in the comments what you think of this sword.
