Prismatic Perfected Warlock build in Destiny 2

Outbreak Perfected paired with Prismatic makes for a devastating build, especially when we bring out our stasis and solar abilities. We’re going to have near infinite grenades, plus we’re hard to kill through Devour and we’re constantly dealing damage through solar ignitions, strand melee attacks and SIVA nanite swarms. Today I am going to walk through the build, explain why this is one of the best endgame Warlock builds in the game right now, plus show you some gameplay in Destiny 2.

Why this build is good

This build is all about combing Solar and Stasis abilities, helping us control the battlefield as well as increasing our damage output. This is a super easy build to put together, that combines Prismatic and Outbreak Perfected. We’ll be taking advantage of our SIVA nanites from Outbreak Perfected. This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills. Plus does more damage to enemies based on the number of SIVA nanites that attach to them. Therefore this is going to be good in Nightfalls, Dungeons, Raids and other endgame content.

How to put this build together

Let’s look at how to put this together.

Exotic Armor – Osmiomancy Gloves

Osmiomancy Gloves are Exotic Warlock Gauntlets with the perk

Fervid Coldsnap – Your Coldsnap grenades have an additional charge that recharges quicker on direct impact. The seeker spawned from Coldsnap grenades travels further.

To get these gloves speak to Master Rahool in the Tower.

Prismatic Subclass

Super – Song of Flame

Makes your equipped weapons radiant and enhances your abilities. While in your super you release a supercharged melee attack that launches additional projectiles. The grande creates a sentient flame wisp that seeks out targets and detonates in a scorching explosion, then seeks out other nearby targets. While Song of Flame is active, you and nearby allies regenerate abilities more quickly, are more resistant to incoming damage, and your Solar and Kinetic weapons scorch targets.

Melee – Arcane Needle

Sling a woven needle that will embed in your target, unraveling them. Activate your melee ability again to chain up to two additional attacks.

Grenade – Cold Snap

A grenade that freezes on impact and sends another seeker to find and freeze targets.

Grenade – Transcendence Grenade (Void/Stasis)

Throw a mass of Void energy and Stasis matter. On impact, deploys a miniature black hole orbited by a slowing field. After a short duration, the black hole implodes, suppressing and dealing heavy damage to all nearby targets. This is going to weaken targets.

Class Ability – Phoenix Dive

Dive to the ground and create a burst of Solar Light that cures nearby allies.

Aspects

Hellion (Solar)

Activate your class ability to summon a Solar mortar that lobs flaming projectiles at distant targets. Targets damaged by the mortar are scorched.

Feed the Void (Void)

Defeat a target with any ability to activate Devour. This gives us a good amount of health, plus an almost infinite stream of grenades.

Fragments

Facet of Ruin

Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target, and increases the area of effect of Solar ignitions. This goes well with our coldsnap grenade, plus we get that extra charge with our exotic armor. Solar ignitions are coming from our Hellion Aspect for that extra boost.

Facet of Courage

Arc, Solar and Void abilities deal more damage to targets affected by a darkness debuff. Given we’re throwing coldsnap grenades constantly, this is going to boost the damage of our solar output through Hellion.

Facet of Protection

While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased. This is going to help us stay alive.

Facet of Solitude

Landing rapid precision hits emits a severing blast from the target. While Transcendent the blast is bigger. Using Outbreak Perfected here is going to help, as precision hits are nice and easy.

Facet of Dominance

Your Void grenades weaken targets, and your Arc grenades jolt targets. This is going to boost our grenades making us more effective on the battlefield.

Weapons

Primary – Outbreak Perfected

Outbreak Perfected is a fantastic Kinetic Pulse Rifle, mainly down to its perks. Let’s check them out in a little more detail.

The Corruption Spreads – This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills.
Parasitism – This weapon does more damage to enemies based on the number of SIVA nanites that attach to them.

The thing you notice with Outbreak Perfected is the speed this thing fires at, it’s very fast and very effective. The main perks are great for DPS by creating SIVA nanite swarms that attach to enemies. You can literally tear through enemies in Strikes, Nightfalls and Raids. As well as the Exotic perks it comes with Outlaw, where precision kills increase the reload speed.

You can pick this up from the Zero Hour Exotic mission.

Energy – Abberant Action

Aberrant Action is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a rocket-assisted frame meaning sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage. The Origin Trait here is Radiolara Transposer. Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.

Aberrant Action is a weapon added into Destiny 2 as part of Episode 1 Echoes, that means you can play Breach Executable to get it.

Heavy – Pro Memoria

This is a heavy machine gun, again in the Pale Heart weapon family, activating Dealer’s Choice. Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of Super energy. Equipping multiple weapons from the Pale Heart increases this effect.

Armor mods

Head

Kinetic Siphon – Rapid Kinetic weapon final blows create an Orb of Power.
Ashes to Assets – Gain bonus Super energy on grenade kills.

Arms

Bolstering Detonation – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a grenade.
Focusing Strike – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a powered melee attack.

Chest

Solar Resistance – Reduces incoming Solar damage from combatants.
Arc Resistance – Reduces incoming Arc damage from combatants.
Void Resistance – Reduces incoming Void damage from combatants.

Legs

Kinetic Weapon Surge – Your Kinetic weapons gain a small bonus to damage while you have any Armor Charge. Your Armor Charge now decays over time.
Insulation – Reduces class ability cooldown each time you pick up an Orb of Power.

Class Item

Time Dilation – Your decaying Armor Charge has a longer duration.
Reaper – Shortly after using your class ability, your next weapon final blow spawns an Orb of Power.

Artifact mods

Radiant Orbs – While you have a Solar or Prismatic subclass equipped, picking up an Orb of Power makes you radiant.

Galvanic Armor – While you have an Arc or Prismatic subclass equipped, incoming damage from combatants is reduced while amplified.

Solar Fulmination – Your ignitions do increased damage in an increased radius.

Gameplay loop

We’re going to have great crowd control with this build, given we’re throwing out Coldsnap grenades. Combined with our Exotic armor Osmiomancy Gloves, that’s going to give us a second grenade, plus seeking stasis abilities to freeze enemies. Shatter is going to do great damage, plus we’re beefing up our solar damage with Hellion. The stasis and solar output is boosted through Facet of Ruin which increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target, and increases the area of effect of Solar ignitions.

As well as stasis and solar, we’ve also got strand through our melee ability, meaning we’re going to be spreading the unravel debuff around the battlefield. That means we can finish off enemies quickly and easily with Outbreak Perfected, creating those SIVA nanite swarms for more damage. We can boost this with Aberrant Action, especially if you have Incandescent on there for more scorch and ultimately ignition solar explosions on enmeies.

Our melee damage is going to feed our grenades, plus we have Feed the Void too, plus Osmiomancy, meaning we’re going to have constant grenades, freezing everything around us, being helpful to our fireteam by restricting the movement of our enemies, making them easy to kill.
