Prismatic Hunter PVE build with Renewal Grasps in Destiny 2

Hunters have it good with Prismatic and this build is going to have you freezing, weakening and dishing out huge damage with your weapons and your fists. Today I’m going to check out this Prismatic Hunter PVE build with Renewal Grasps, explain why it’s going, go through the build with you and we’ll check out the gameplay loop in Destiny 2.

Why this build is good

This is a great Hunter PVE build given the combination of elements and the buffs and debuffs we’re applying to enemies. We’re going to be freezing, slowing and shattering enemies with Stasis through our Duskfield grenades and Exotic amor, plus applying Frost armor to our fireteam too. We’re going to be radiant, increasing our damage output from our weapons by 25%. We’re also going to be weakening and supressig enemies with our super, then going invisible, to help us get out of danger. All the while dodging and punching enemies for massive damage.

Subclass Prismatic

Super – Shadowshot Deadfall. Tether foes to a Void Anchor, weakening and suppressing them for you and your allies. The Void Anchors fired from Shadowshot become traps and wait for prey. Void Anchors have increased range and last longer.

Melee – Combination Blow. Defeating targets with this ability also fully refills your class ability energy and restores a small amount of health.

Grenade – Duskfield. A grenade that shatters on impact, leaving behind a field that slows targets and freezes those who do not leave the volume.

Class ability – Gambler’s Dodge. Dodge to perform a deft tumble, avoiding enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges your Melee Ability.

Aspects

Stylish Executioner – Defeating a weakened, suppressed, or volatile target grants Invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.

Winter’s Shroud – Dodging slows nearby targets. Slowing targets briefly increases your class ability regeneration.

Fragments

Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets makes you radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies radiant.

Facet of Ruin – Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target, and increases the area of effect of Solar ignitions.

Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.

Facet of Blessing – Melee final blows start health regeneration. While transcendent, melee final blows start health regeneration for you and nearby allies.

Exotic armor

Renewal Grasps

Depths of Duskfield – Your Duskfield grenades have a much larger effect radius. Allies inside the Duskfield gain Frost Armor and targets inside the area deal reduced damage.

Weapons

Primary – Outbreak Perfected

Outbreak Perfected is a fantastic Kinetic Pulse Rifle, mainly down to its perks. Let’s check them out in a little more detail.

The Corruption Spreads – This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills.
Parasitism – This weapon does more damage to enemies based on the number of SIVA nanites that attach to them.

The thing you notice with Outbreak Perfected is the speed this thing fires at, it’s very fast and very effective. The main perks are great for DPS by creating SIVA nanite swarms that attach to enemies. You can literally tear through enemies in Strikes, Nightfalls and Raids. As well as the Exotic perks it comes with Outlaw, where precision kills increase the reload speed.

You can pick this up from the Zero Hour Exotic mission.

Energy – Indebted Kindness

Indebted Kindness is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a Rocket-Assisted Frame means sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage.

This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.

Commemoration

Commemoration is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. For PVE Reconstruction, and Rampage is the best roll. Reconstruction is where this weapon slowly reloads itself over time, up to double capacity. and finally rampage boosts damage after a kill, which stacks up to 3 times. Reconstruction paired with Rampage is absolutely perfect on this machine gun. You can get this one from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid.

Mods

Hands On – Increased super energy from melee kills
Bolstering Detonation – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a grenade.
Impact Induction – Causing damage with a powered melee attack reduces your grenade cooldown.
Arc, Solar, Void Resistance
Kinetic Weapon Surge – You get a small damage bonus to kinetic weapons when you have an armor charge
Time Dilation – Your decaying armor charge has a longer duration
Bomber – Reduces grenade cooldown when you use your class ability

Gameplay loop

When we get into combat you want to throw down a grenade, creating a slowing field and that’s enhanced by Renewal Grasps. Then dodge to slow enemies, and then punch to inflict huge damage. Powered melee hits recharge the dodge, and doging recharges the melee, so we’ve got an infinite loop of slowing and punching.

If you want to step back then we’re going to be radiant given our powered melee hits, increasing out damage output by 25%, plus we’re going to be inflicting a large amount of damage through our weapons anyway through Outbreak Perfected and Indebted Kindness, not to mention our machine gun. Our mods through kinetic weapon durge also increase the damage of Outbreak Perfected.

We’re also using mods to recharge our super quickly, as unleashing our Shadowshot tether is going to weaken and supress enemies. This is going to help you control the battlefield when you get in trouble, plus you can defeat these enemies to go invisible to get out of trouble.

We’re dishing out melee attacks and big damage, but we’re also healing ourselves through our melee given Facet of Blessing kicks off health regen, and we’ve got Facet of Protection for for damage resistance.

Let me know what you think.
