Orpheus Rig Prismatic Hunter PVE build is going to help you control your enemies on the battlefield and dish out huge damage, while taking minimal damage youself. Today I’m going to show you this Orpheus Rig Prismatic Hunter PVE build, why it’s good, the gameplay loop, plus how to put the build together in Destiny 2.
Why this is good
With Prismatic, we still have access to the Deadfall tether, which means easy and consistent access to 50% super energy. When it comes to survivability, this build offers two major advantages over the standard Void setup:
- Facet of Purpose – When paired with orb-generating mods like Harmonic Siphon and Hands-On, you can consistently gain Void Overshields, giving you a solid 70% damage resistance.
- Facet of Protection – This further boosts your damage resistance when surrounded, making you incredibly durable in close-quarters combat.
To top it off, we include Stylish Executioner, allowing nearly every kill to turn us invisible. This synergy comes from using Facet of Bravery alongside a Void weapon: our grenade kills trigger Volatile Rounds, and from there, our entire kit flows—grenades scorch, melees sever, weapons cause volatile explosions, and all of it keeps invisibility rolling.
I prefer using the Strand melee, Threaded Spike. It lets me generate Tangles constantly, refunds melee energy, and can even sever bosses and mini-bosses to reduce incoming damage. With all those Tangles, I run Facet of Honor, so picking them up or detonating them gives me 10% Darkness Transcendence energy. Since we’re using a Void primary most of the time, this helps recharge Transcendence faster.
Speaking of Transcendence — our Prismatic grenade becomes incredibly powerful, capable of stunning both Overload and Unstoppable Champions. I also use Gunpowder Gamble to clear large groups and have another reliable method to stun Unstoppables. As for Barrier Champions, Volatile Rounds handle them with ease, and we also bring Facet of Dawn for Radiant via powered melee, giving us another stun option.
Gameplay
Use your tether on large groups of enemies to quickly regain that 50% super energy. From there, spam your grenades and Gunpowder Gamble as much as possible to trigger Volatile Rounds for your Void weapons, which leads to tons of orb generation and even more super energy.
Be sure to regularly throw your Threaded Spike—it creates Tangles, refunds melee energy, and activates Radiant. Pick up or destroy those Tangles to gain bonus Darkness Transcendence energy.
And when you’re in a tight spot or need to stun a Champion, activate Transcendence and start unleashing those powerful grenades.
Exotic Armor

You can get this from Master Rahool in the Tower.
Prismatic Subclass Setup
Super – Shadowshot Deadfall, Tether foes to a Void Anchor, weakening and suppressing them for you and your allies. The Void Anchors fired from Shadowshot pull targets toward the impact point, which then become traps and wait for prey. Void Anchors have increased range and last longer.
Class ability – Gambler’s Dodge, Dodge to perform a deft tumble, avoiding enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges your Melee Ability.
Melee – Threaded Spike, Throw a rope dart that bounces between targets, damaging and severing them. The dart will return to you once it’s done, returning melee energy to you for each target hit. Press [Melee] just as the dart gets back to you to catch it and increase the amount of energy returned.
Grenade – Swarm Grenade, A grenade that detonates on impact, releasing multiple drones that seek nearby targets. Each drone slightly scorches affected targets.

Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets makes you radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies radiant.
Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.
Facet of Purpose – Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Bolt Charge, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Overshield based on the damage type of your equipped Super.
Facet of Honor – Collecting an elemental pickup or destroying a Tangle grants Transcendence energy of the same type.
