How to get the VS Velocity Baton (Legendary Grenade Launcher) in Destiny 2

VS Velocity Baton is a void grenade launcher added to Destiny 2 via the Vesper’s Host Dungeon in Episode Revenant. This is an area denial grenade launcher, similar to Lost Signal from Echoes, and they are a relatively new archetype of weapon added into the game and pretty popular. Today I want to take a look at the stats, perks, god roll, plus how to get VS Velocity Baton in Destiny 2.

How to get VS Velocity Baton

To get this one you’ll need to play the Vesper’s Host Dungeon. You can get this grenade launcher from the 1st and the 3rd encounter, and once you have it drop for you it’ll drop from the secret chest for additional drops. Dungeons have specific loot tables so you can only get the weapon to drop from the specific encounters described here.

VS Velocity Baton

VS Velocity Baton is a Legendary Energy Grenade Launcher with an Area Denial Frame meaning it has a burst fire Grenade Launcher. Each projectile creates a lingering pool on impact that deals damage over time. Looking at the stats we have Blast Radius 100, Velocity 74, Stability 29, Handling 70, Reload Speed 70, Rounds Per Minute 72, and Magazine 1.

The Origin Trait is Bray Legacy, which means damage with this weapon generates a small amount of ability energy for the one closest to a full charge.

VS Velocity Baton is part of the relatively new area denial grenade launcher family, launched with Lost Signal in Episode Echoes. This is a void grenade launcher and comes with the regular void perks, which makes this a solid pick for PVE content, however, there are better choices in PVP for the energy slot.
