Recluse is back in Destiny 2 as part of Into The Light. This is simply one of the most devastating weapons in the history of Destiny 2, and it’s returned with random rolls, although the classic feeding frenzy/master of arms combo is still available. Today I want to go through the stats, perks and god rolls for PVE and PVP, plus how to get Recluse, and the limited edition variant, in Destiny 2.
How to get The Recluse
To get this one you’ll want to take part in the Onslaught activity, and it’s a random drop.
Additionally, you can increase the chances of a specific gun dropping by 50% by activating Weapon’s Attunement in the Hall of Champions, which features holographic statues of Lord Shaxx. If you get exhausted playing Onslaught, you can collect Trophies of Bravery from other activities and go back to Shaxx at the Hall of Champions to unlock a loot chest beside him.
There is a limited edition version of Recluse too. To get this you just need to play as usual and activate Attunement on Recluse. Limited edition Brave weapons can be obtained through quests from Arcite, guaranteeing a drop of one gun with ornament and curated perks. Be aware that the Limited edition versions are only going to be available during Into The Light (until June 4th), so get them while they are available.
The Recluse
The Recluse is a Legendary Energy Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame meaning it has superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped. Looking at the stats we have Impact 15, Range 34, Stability 47, Handling 63, Reload Speed 28, Airborne Effectiveness 12, Rounds Per Minute 900 and Magazine 36.
The origin trait is Indomitability. This provides a 2.5% ability energy from weapon final blows, determined by your chosen subclass. Light subclasses get grenade energy and dark subclasses get melee energy.
The Recluse god rolls
Here’s all the possible rolls for the Recluse.
For PVE Feeding Frenzy, Master of Arms is the classic roll.
- Feeding Frenzy – Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time.
- Master of Arms – Kills with any weapon improve this weapon’s damage for a short time.
While that is the classic PVE roll (or the only roll, given it was fixed before), we do have other decent options including.
- Repulsor Brace – Defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an overshield.
- Destabilizing Rounds – Final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile.
- Subsistence – Defeating targets partially reloads the magazine from reserves.
- Master of Arms – Kills with any weapon improve this weapon’s damage for a short time.
For PVP Dynamic Sway, Master of Arms would be good or Dynamic Sway and Target Lock.
- Dynamic Sway Reduction – Improves accuracy and stability while continuously holding down the trigger.
- Master of Arms – Kills with any weapon improve this weapon’s damage for a short time.
- Target Lock – Damage increases the longer this weapon remains on a target.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
