Imperative is back in Destiny 2 as part of Season of the Wish. This former Undying weapon is back and better than ever with new perks, and it’s a scout rifle you’re going to want to take a second look at. Today I want to take a closer look at the weapon, the stats, perks, god rolls, plus how to get Imperative in Destiny 2.
How to get Imperative
You can get Imperative from Season of the Wish activities including Riven’s Lair, plus the Starcrossed Exotic Mission. Once you have it, you can focus Wish engrams at Riven in the H.E.L.M. for 4 wish engrams and 3000 glimmer, or get it from the Undying weapon engram. It’s craftable so once you get 5 red borders and extract the deepsight, you’ll be able to craft your very own Imperative at the Enclave on Savathun’s Throne World.
Imperative
Imperative is a Legendary Kinetic Scout Rifle with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow firing and high damage. This weapon is more accurate when stationary, moving slowly, and aiming down sights. Looking at the stats we have Impact 67, Range 65, Stability 20, Handling 22, Reload Speed 30, Airborne Effectiveness 10, Rounds Per Minute 150 and Magazine 13.
The Origin Trait here is Nano-munitions meaning being near allies slowly builds up a partial emergency ammo refill for the next time this weapon runs out of ammo. Emergency ammo amount increases with time spent near allies.
Imperative god roll guide
For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Flared Magwell, Demolitionist, Kinetic Tremors and a Reload Speed masterwork would be good.
- Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
- Flared Magwell – Slightly increases stability, Greatly increases reload speed
- Demolitionist – Kills with this weapon generate grenade energy. Activating your grenade ability reloads this weapon from reserves.
- Kinetic Tremors – Sustained kinetic damage to a target emits a shockwave that damages any nearby targets.
- Reload Speed
For PVP Smallbore, Steady Rounds, No Distractions, Explosive Payload, Stability masterwork.
- Smallbore – Increases range, Increases stability
- Steady Rounds – Greatly increases stability, Slightly decreases range, Increases airborne effectiveness
- No Distractions – Aiming this weapon for a short period reduces flinch.
- Explosive Payload – Projectiles create an area-of-effect detonation on impact.
- Stability
Let me know in the comments what you think of Imperative.
