How to get Falling Guillotine (Legendary Sword) plus god roll guide in Destiny 2

Falling Guillotine is a power sword that’s been refreshed and returned to us in Season of the Wish as part of the Into The Light update. It’s back and it’s better than before, plus we can get a limited edition version of the sword. Today I want to take a closer look at the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Falling Guillotine in Destiny 2.

How to get Falling Guillotine

To get this sword you can play Onslaught, which you can access via the Into The Light node from the Director. It’s a random drop after the boss phase for each 10 waves completed.

You can also turn in currency, Trophies of Bravery, which are acquired through Onslaught and other activities in Destiny 2. Turn in 10 and you’ll get a random weapon, which could be Falling Guillotine. You can find this chest to the left of Shaxx in the Hall of Heroes.

You can also pick up a quest from Arcite, he’s next to Shaxx, and by completing this quest you’ll get a curated version of Falling Guillotine, which has a pretty decent roll for PVE. This includes getting sword kills around the system, and it doesn’t take very long to complete, I recommend either the Shuro Chi location in the Last Wish raid, or the start of the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon. With all of these quests from Arcite, I recommend going into an activity solo – raids, dungeons, lost sectors, exotic missions, whatever you can, find some infinite spawning enemy mechanic and get the quest done with weapons kills, in this instance it’s sword kills.

Falling Guillotine

Falling Guillotine is a Legendary Power Sword with a Vortex Frame meaning you can launch a heavy spin attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy. Looking at the stats we have Swing Speed 40, Impact 60, Range 40, Charge Rate 20, Magazine 46, Ammo Capacity 59.

The origin trait here is Indomitability where final blows grant grenade energy when playing a Light subclass or melee energy when playing a Darkness subclass.

Falling Guillotine god roll guide

For PVE Jagged Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Frenzy, Surrounded would be good.

  • Jagged Edge – Increased damage at the cost of sword ammo.
  • Swordmaster’s Guard – Sword Guard has low overall defenses, but increases charge rate.
  • Frenzy – Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling, and reload for this weapon until you are out of combat.
  • Surrounded – This weapon gains bonus damage when three or more enemies are in close proximity.

For PVP Enduring Blade, Balanced Guard, Chain Reaction, Eager Edge

  • Enduring Blade – Greatly increased sword ammo at the cost of damage.
  • Balanced Guard – Sword Guard has balanced overall defenses.
  • Chain Reaction – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
  • Eager Edge – Gain increased Sword lunge distance immediately after switching to this weapon.

Let me know in the comments what you think.
