Prismatic is the new subclass in The Final Shape, but to get the most out of it you’re going to need to do a little work after the campaign. Today I’m going to go through all the details for how to unlock everything you need for Prismatic in Destiny 2.

Without further delay, let’s dive in and find out how to unlock everything you need for your Prismatic subclass.
Campaign Unlocks
At the end of the first mission in the campaign you’ll unlock the basics of Prismatic and you’ll essentially get a starter kit. This includes some supers, aspects and a selection of fragments. To get the most out of Prismatic, there is a little more work to do throughout the campaign and also in the post campaign too.

Facet of Ruin
Facet of Purpose
Facet of Protection
Facet of Dawn
Facet of Courage
Facet of Hope
Next up we have the campaign unlocks.
Facet of Bravery
First of all we have the Facet of Bravery. This one can be found in the Ascent mission. You want to look out for the plane and instead of running through it as you normally would, you want to go to the right and jump down to find the hidden chest underneath.
Facet of Blessing
Then we have the Facet of Blessing. You can find this one in the Dissent mission, and it will be placed next to the regular chests after the encounter. You shouldn’t be able to miss this one, it’s placed next the the regular rewards and designed for you to pick up in the campaign.
Facet of Devotion
Next we have Facet of Devotion. This one is a hidden chest in the Dissent mission. After the boss fight you want to take this path, avoiding the disappearing platforms, and you’ll find the hidden chest behind a pillar.
Facet of Balance
Then we have Facet of Balance in the Iconoclasm mission. This is similar to Blessing, you’ll find it next to a rewards chest and it’s designed for you to find throughout the mission.
Facet of Sacrifice
Next we have Facet of Sacrifice. This is also in Iconoclasm. After the Ogre boss fight and before The Witness, you’ll find a Warbeast. Go left instead of right and then up through a tiny little hole, and you’ll find the secret chest.
That’s it for the campaign unlocks. Next we have the post-campaign unlocks.
Aspects and abilities
For the remaining apsects and abilities, you’ll want to complete two post campaign quests called Lost in the Light and Found in the Dark. To access these quests you’ll need to
Complete The Final Shape Campaign
Complete “Destined Heroes Queens Part 1” quest
Complete “Found in the Dark” quest
Complete “Lost in the Light” quest
Finishing up the Found in the Ark and Lost in the Light quests will give you your remaining Supers, Abilities and Aspects.
Patrol puzzles
Next we have a few fragments we can unlock through puzzles found on The Pale Heart. Each one is slightly different, but we’ll go through them one by one. You’ll have to complete a small environment puzzle to get a key drop from a mini boss, then use that key to unlock the Prismatic chest for a fragment.
Facet of Command
First we have Facet of Command, this can be found in the Divide, and you’ll want to land at Impasse on the Pale Heart and follow the path on screen. When you get to the location here, jump through the window and you’ll be able to pick up a scorch cannon. Use the scorch cannon on the icy rocks to blow them up and then take the orbs and loads them into the machine next to the scorch cannon. Fill up both machines, this will cause Dread to appear, then you’ll want to kill them to get the key. Use the key to unlock the chest.
Facet of Defiance
Next we have Facet of Defiance. Start from the Impasse, go through the temple and make your way to the cave. Shoot the Dakrness orb outside to get the ‘Shielded in Darkness’ buff, then go in the cave and activate the node, then kill the enemies. The puzzle here is you need to shoot the eyes of suffering, then you can damage the Dread enemies, then kill the mini boss to get the key and unlock the chest.
Facet of Grace
Then we have Facet of Grace. For this one go to The Lost City and through where The Vanguard’s table used to be and drop down the hole, keep going through and then you’ll get to an open area with 3 directions, go the the right. Here’s you’ll find the Prismatic chests. You’ll want to keep an eye out for the text on the left hand side saying “Omens appear”. Some Dread enemies will spawn in and then you want to kill the Omen.
Then go back from where you came and check out the other locations from the central Lost City point, and you need to find two more Omens. Go back and then jump over the platforms and seek out the Omen. Kill them, and again, back track, follow on screen and find the 3rd and final Omen to kill. Once you have killed the Omens, go back to the central location to fight the mini boss, kill them, get the key, unlock the chest.
Facet of Mending
For the Facet of Mending you’ll want to go to The Lost City again, travel through and keep going until you get to the Lost City Outskirts. We are looking for Lost Ghosts. The first one is found on a sign, it’s sitting right on top there, it’s fairly easy to miss. The next one is where we had to reflect the elements into the Hive runes for Queens part one, you want to jump down on the platforms and then double back to find the ghost on a box. Then continue through the doorway and jump up to find another ghost. Then continue forward down the grassy hill, and jump up on the structure to find the final ghost. Once you have done this you then have an encounter at the bottom where you stand in the ring, and shoot enemies until a mini boss appears. Kill them, pick up the key and open the chest.
Facet of Justice
Finally for the puzzles you want to go to the Landing Zone and you want to make your way through to the Refraction location on the Pale Heart. Keep going through this cave network until you get to the circular room. Here you have a crystal, with 3 hive runes. Read the runes from top to bottom. When you pick up the crystal, runes appear on the upper floor of the circular room, although they are obscured. This is possible to do solo, but it’s much more difficult, so if you have a clanmate or friend, that would help. You want to match the runes from top to bottom and place the rune in the correct location with the corresponding Hive symbol. If you are doing this solo then it’s possible to hold the crystal and peek to see the runes, but it is more difficult. Then kill the enemies, get the key and open the chest.
Memory Vestiges Darkness
Next we have Memory Vestiges. We have two types, Memory Vestiges Light and Memory Vestiges Darkness. To get these you need to solve more puzzles on the Pales Heart in Patrol Zones. Lets start with the Darkness ones. You have to roam around the patrol, find chest puzzles and then complete the challenge. You’ll recognise the Darkness chests because it’s covered with Thorns. Interact with it, then the puzzle will appear. My preferred location for this was Impasse. You can find a few chests, and then rotate between the puzzles. Here’s the ones I found:
- Grenade challenge near the hands
- Cleaning the Darkness with the Light
- Rolling the Thorn bush into the container.
Finding the chests is a matter of roaming around the Patrol zone, again, Impasse is good for Darkness chests. Find your chests, then rotate between puzzles. We are looking for 5 Memory Vestiges of Darkness. When you find 5, they will convert into a purple one, and give you a clue for the Prismatic chest location.
Facet of Honor
First you’ll get something called Divisive Darkness. Open up your map and you’ll see a location has been placed there, this one is near the Divide, hence the name Divisive Darkness. You’ll want to scale the mountain, when you get to the top jump off to the right to find the Prismatic chest.
Then you’ll need to collect 5 more Memory Vestiges of Darkness, so go back to the Impasse.
Facet of Solitude
Once you have 5 more Memory Vestiges of Darkness, then go to the Impasse and follow the map marker. Find the ledge, and drop down and you’ll find the Prismatic chest.
Memory Vestiges Light
The next set of quests are related to the Memory Vestiges of Light, and for this you’ll need to speak to Micah-10 in the Lost City and run through the Convalescence questline. You want to keep going through this quest until you get to the Alone in the Dark quest.
Now you’re going to need to get Memory Vestiges of Light. To do this you need to follow the Alone in the Dark quest, find the lost ghosts, then complete a few rounds of the Overthrown activity to unlock the Cysts. This is where you have to follow the Bird and they lead to enemies that are glowing with Light. The Alone in the Dark quests are repeatable, so find one that drops the Memory Vestiges of Light and quickly you should be abel to pick up 5 to get you the purple drop you need.
Facet of Awakening
For the Facet of Awakening you’ll need the Memory Refractions of Light. Get the drop and then make your way to the Refraction location, then you’ll want to climb up the tree to find the Prismatic chest. Don’t forget to check out your map to give you a hint for where the Prismatic chest is. Then do a little bit of climbing up the branches and you’ll find the chest.
Facet of Generosity
Next we have Facet of Generosity and for this you’ll need Memory Blooming of Light. Make your way to The Blooming location. Head to the huge tree in the middle, and search the roots around the side and you’ll find the Prismatic chest you are looking for.
Facet of Dominance
Finally we have Facet of Dominance and for this you need the Memory Seclusions of Light. Go to the Seclusion area, near where Zavala’s house is. Go to the waterfall, then jump up and you’ll find the final Prismatic chest.
That’s it for unlocking Prismatic, now you can enjoy everything with the subclass and create some great builds.
