Hazardous Propulsion is a Titan Exotic Chest armor, and this one gives you a dammage boost to all rockets, meaning you can cause huge damage to bosses and groups of enemies in PVE content. Today I’m going to go through the build, why it’s good, and why you should try this one out in Destiny 2.
Gameplay loop
This build is all about taking advantage of the buff to rocket damage from Hazardous Propulsion. Hazardous Propulsion is a Titan Exotic chest armor that creates up to 6 rockets when you get final blows or precision hits, and then you release the rockets when you use your class item. After you fire the rockets you’ll have up to a 35% damage buff to all rockets. That includes Rocket Launchers, Wolfpack Rounds, Rocket-Assisted Sidearms, Nanotech Tracer Rockets, Grand Overture’s Missile Volley, Quicksilver Storm ‘s Tracer Rocket.
For this build I’m using Indebted Kindness as a Rocket Sidearm and Grand Overture. Grand Overture has a secondary firing mode where you can fire a volley of rockets, meaning you can fire a huge amount of DPS at a boss, and take them down with ease. This build prioritises regenerating class item abilities so you can use your Hazardous Propulsion benefits as much as possible.
Regarding the gameplay you want to build up your stacks with Grand Overture, you can get up to 20. Get those final blows to build up Hazardous Propulsion at the same time, and when you are ready use your class item, unload the rockets and then use Grand Overture and your rocket side arm to cause massive amounts of damage. Then simply rinse and repeat.
Prismatic is great for this build, given the combination of Light and Dark abilities. We’re using our Rally Barricade a lot, and with Drengr’s Lash we can adding suspend to that, meaning you have protection behind a barricade and also you’re suspending AND firing rockets at the same time. Knockout makes you amplified on powered melee hits, which again gives you a damage increase. Facet of Hope increases our class ability regeneration, then we can optmise for health and incoming damage resistance.
Give this build a try, I think Titans are going to love it.
Exotic Armor
Hazardous Propulsion
Danger Close – Weapon precision hits or final blows have a chance to load a Kinetic Exodus rocket. Activating your class ability fires loaded Exodus rockets. Damaging targets with Exodus rockets temporarily increases the damage you deal with all other rockets. You can get this exotic armor from Rahool, The Cryptarch, in the Tower by levelling up with his reward track.
Prismatic Subclass Setup
Super – Thundercrash, Hurtle through the air like a missile and crash into targets to inflict meteoric damage.
Class ability – Rally Barricade, Creates a small barrier that you can peek over while aiming down sights; increases weapon reload speed, stability, and range. Draws hostile fire when you stand behind it.
Melee – Frezied Blade, Activate your charged melee ability to dash forward, slashing at targets in front of you and severing them.
Grenade – Pulse Grenade, A grenade that periodically damages targets within its explosion radius.
Aspects
Drengr’s Lash – Activate your Barricade ability to create a ripple in reality that travels forward along the ground, suspending and damaging the targets it hits.
Knockout – Critically wounding a target or breaking their shield infuses your melee attacks with Arc energy and increases your melee range and damage for a short time. Defeating targets with melee attacks makes you amplified and restores a portion of your health. Defeating more powerful combatants increases the amount of health restored.
Fragments
Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.
Facet of Blessing – Melee final blows start health regeneration. While transcendent, melee final blows start health regeneration for you and nearby allies.
Facet of Hope – While you have an elemental buff, your class ability regenerates more quickly.
Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets makes you radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies radiant.
Facet of Awakening – Rapidly defeating targets with Light or Darkness damage or Super final blows generates an elemental pickup of the matching damage type.
Weapons
Rufus’s Fury
Rufus’s Fury is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a rapid-Fire Frame meaning deeper ammo reserves, plus it deals Strand damage. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. I’m using any Strand weapon here to help build transcendence for Prismatic.
Indebted Kindness
Indebted Kindness is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a Rocket-Assisted Frame means sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage. This is going to get the benefits of the rocket boost to damage from Hazardous Propulsion.
Grand Overture
Grand Overture is an Exotic Power Machine Gun and it comes with the perks
Wrath of the Colossus – Heavy slug launcher that charges, then fires full auto while the trigger is held.
Omega Strike – Land hits with the slug launcher to load missiles, and then fire to launch all missiles in a single volley.
This is going to get the benefits of the rocket boost to damage from Hazardous Propulsion when you launch Omega Strike.
Mods
Head
Special Ammo Finder – Increases the drop chance of Special ammo upon defeat of an opponent.
Special Ammo Scout – When one of your ammo finder perks creates a brick of Special ammo for you, it also creates bricks of Special ammo for your allies.
Harmonic Siphon – Spawns an Orb of Power upon scoring 2 Kills within ? seconds of each with a Weapon matching your Super Element.
Arms
Heavy Handed – Your powered melee final blows create Orbs of Power.
Chest
Concussive Dampener – Reduces incoming area-of-effect damage from combatants.
Harmonic Resistance – Reduces Incoming PVE Combatant Damage matching your Subclass Element by 15% (per mod)
Legs
Arc Weapon Surge – Your Arc weapons gain a small bonus to damage while you have any Armor Charge. Your Armor Charge now decays over time.
Invigoration – Reduces melee cooldown each time you pick up an Orb of Power.
Recuperation – Replenishes health each time you pick up an Orb of Power.
Class item
Outreach – Reduces melee cooldown when using your class ability.
Reaper – Shortly after using your class ability, your next weapon final blow spawns an Orb of Power.
Font of Restoration – Collecting an Orb of Power causes you to gain 1 temporary Armor Charge.
