Blastwave Striders Prismatic Titan Build in Destiny 2

Blastwave Striders are exotic leg armor for Titans and this build puts them together with Prismatic, allowing for a very tanky Titan build, allowing you to dish out massive amounts of damage and destructive stasis crystals. Today I am going to walk through the Blastwave Striders build, why it’s good, the gameplay loop, plus how to put the build together in Destiny 2.

Why this build is good

This is a great support build for Titans allowing you to deal massive damage with weapons and abilities, but you are also going to be supporting your fireteam with incredible shields that draw fire and attention away from other guardians. Our exotic armor super charges this build because when we slide we’re creating loads of stasis crystals, which explode and cause a large amount death and destruction to your enemies.

We’re getting void overshields through our abilities, but also frost armor too, meaning it’s going to be very difficult to kill this titan. Plus we’re using Facet of Protection on the Prismatic subclass, and all together this means a huge amount of damage reduction, meaning it’s going to be very difficult for enemies to kill you.

This build focuses around void and stasis. Blastwave Striders allow us to dish out a large amount of crystals, plus we’ve got an exotic grenade launcher with infinite ammo, which allows us to constantly output stasis damage. We’ve also got Diamond Lance, allowing us to create stasis projectiles, so we’re throwing projectiles as well as using our stasis grenade launcher.

On the void side we’ve using unbreakable, which allows us to create shields to help us get out of tight situations, plus the surpressor grenade to suppress enemies abilities. Our Twilight Arsenal Super will help us weaken enemies plus Facet of Dominance allows us to apply weaken through our grenades too. By picking up Orbs of power we’re also getting overshields, meaning we’re going to be harder to kill.

Gameplay loop

Exotic Armor

Blastwave Striders are Exotic Leg armor for Titans that come with the perk Blastwave Striders. Gain resistance to your explosives. Defeat targets to charge this armor. Once charged, slide or deal explosive self-damage to rocket jump backward and blast deadly shrapnel projectiles that spawn Stasis crystals on impact. Charged rocket jumps grant Frost Armor.

You can get these from Master Rahool in the Tower by resetting Rahool’s rank and then selecting them from the final page of the exotic armor in his menu.

Prismatic Subclass Setup

Super – Twilight Arsenal, Summon three Void axes and throw them at your foes one after another. On impact, the axes pull in nearby targets and detonate in a weakening explosion. After exploding, the axes can be picked up by you or your allies and used as a weapon for a short time.

Class ability – Rally Barricade, Creates a small barrier that you can peek over while aiming down sights; increases weapon reload speed, stability, and range. Draws hostile fire when you stand behind it.

Melee – Thunderclap, hold while grounded to plant your feet and begin charging your fist with Arc energy. Release to unleash a devastating blast in front of you, dealing damage that increases with longer charge time.

Grenade – Supressor Grenade, an explosive grenade that suppresses, preventing targets from using abilities for a short time.

Aspects

Diamond Lance – Shatter or defeat targets with abilities or Stasis weapons to create a Stasis lance.

Unbreakable – Hold grenade summon a Void shield that draws hostile fire and blocks a portion of incoming damage, gradually draining your grenade energy and granting an overshield over time. Releasing the grenade input or running out of energy releases a frontal blast from your shield that deals increased damage based on how much damage was blocked. Combatants that come in contact with your shield are temporarily disoriented.

Fragments

Facet of Dominance – Your Void grenades weaken targets, and your Arc grenades jolt targets.

Facet of Ruin – Increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis crystal or frozen target, and increases the area of effect of Solar ignitions.

Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.

Facet of Purpose – Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Bolt Charge, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Overshield based on the damage type of your equipped Super.

Facet of Hope – While you have an elemental buff, your class ability regenerates more quickly.

Facet of Balance – Rapidly defeating targets with Light damage grants melee energy. Rapidly defeating targets with Darkness damage grants grenade energy.

Weapons

Alethonym (Exotic Grenade Launcher)

Alethonym is an Exotic Grenade Launcher with the perks Harvester Spike and Vestigial Alchemy.

Harvester Spike – This weapon fires a Harvester Spike projectile. Dealing final blows with this weapon creates a single Vestige at the target’s location. Impaling more powerful combatants with the projectile creates a steady stream of Vestiges from the target.

Vestigial Alchemy – This weapon gains energy when you pick up Vestiges and allows you to create ammo at the projectile impact point for you and your allies. Special ammo mode unlocks at 50% energy, while Heavy ammo mode unlocks at 100% energy.

You can get this one from the Monuments to Lost Lights in the Tower.

Lotus-Eater (Rocket Sidearm)

Lotus-Eater is a Rocket-Assisted Frame which means the sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage. To get this one you’ll want to complete Nightfalls when Lotus-Eater is the featured weapon for the week. When you defeat the final boss, you’ll have a chance at Lotus-Eater dropping for you.

Qua Furor V (Heavy Machine Gun)

Qua Furor V is a Legendary Stasis Power Machine Gun with an Aggressive Frame which means high damage, high recoil. For the Origin Trait we have Wild Card. Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location. Qua Furor V is a world drop weapon, meaning you’ll have to open legendary engrams, prime engrams and also gunsmith engrams to find the weapon.
