Destiny 2 – How to get the PLUG ONE.1 (Legendary Fusion Rifle) and God Roll Guide

PLUG ONE.1 is a returning fusion rifle from Destiny 1 and it’s arrived in Destiny 2 as a random nightfall reward. Today I am going to look at the PLUG ONE.1, it’s stats, the god roll perks to chase for PVE and PVP, plus how to get PLUG ONE.1 in Destiny 2.

PLUG ONE.1 is a Legendary Energy Fusion Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. Looking at the stats we have Impact 80, Range 62, Stability 54, Handling 42, Reload Speed 38, Charge Time 740, and Magazine 6.

PLUG ONE.1 God Rolls for PVP and PVE

For PVE Heating Up and Reservoir Burst would be a decent roll. Heating up has the trait for final blows with the weapon increase accuracy and stability while improving vertical recoil. Reservoir Burst effect is when the battery is full, your next burst deals additional damage, and causes your enemies to explode… which is always entertaining. Liquid Coils are good for the battery, slower building charge for higher damage which increases impact damage but has a slower charge time. Finally, Corkscrew Rifling is good for the increase in range and stability and slightly increased handling speed. Feeding Frenzy and Cornered are also good for PVE, with Cornered giving you faster charge time when surrounded by enemies.

For PVP Corkscrew Rifling, Projection Fuse or Accelerated Coils, Heating Up, Kickstart is a deadly combination. What we want to do is greatly increase the range this one is effect at, and Corkscrew Rifling and Projection Fuse give us a +15 to the range stats, making it very useful across PVP maps. Accelerated Coils is also good for reducing the charge time. Heating up is great, especially in 6v6 as when you get a kill this fusion becomes much more effective and deadly. Kickstart, on the other hand, a new fusion rifle perk, takes this up a notch. After you slide, your charge rate will decrease and damage will increase for a short period of time. If you don’t like sliding around on the ground, then Backup Plan is always a safe bet.

Another decent roll for PVP would be Killing Wind and Backup Plan. Killing Wind trait is about final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range and handling for a short duration. Backup Plan is good because you’ll get greatly reduced charge time and increased handling speed. This combo is deadly in PVP.

How to get PLUG ONE.1

To get PLUG ONE.1 in Season of the Splicer it’s a Nightfall specific reward. The rewards rotate each week, and it’s also a random drop at the end of Nightfalls, so it’s not guaranteed. Also, the higher the difficulty the more likely it is to drop. I have found a good balance on Legend and Master Nightfalls, with Hung Jury dropping for me on my second Nightfall run.

The best thing to do is get a few friends together and run, but if you don’t have friends to play with then you can always check out the Bungie App, and use the fireteams section, or use a website like DestinyTracker. We do have a This Week In Video Games Discord, so it’s always worth coming in there and seeing if anyone is up for a game, you can find the links down below for that.

Regarding the Nightfall rotation of weapons, each week there’s a different Nightfall weapon on offer, so you have a week to farm for the weapon. It’ll be back in a few week’s time. PLUG ONE.1 is available from 1st – 28th June 2021, then it’ll be back in 3 weeks’ time from the 22nd June. I do a video every Tuesday talking about the weekly reset, so subscribe and hit notifications to never miss out on what’s going on in the Destiny Universe.

Let me know down in the comments what you think of PLUG ONE.1 and let me know what rolls you got and which roll you are going for.

That’s it for this guide for how to get PLUG ONE.1 in Destiny 2. For more Destiny 2 content like this check out This Week In Video Games on YouTube and subscribe today.
