Radiant Dance Machines Hunter Prismatic Build in Destiny 2

If you want a Hunter build that’s fast, fluid, and absolutely relentless, this Radiant Dance Machines setup is for you. With constant dodging, infinite melee loops, and non-stop orb generation, you’ll be diving into fights, vanishing with stylish executions, and shredding enemies with powered-up weapons. It’s perfect for aggressive players who love mobility, ability chaining, and total control of the battlefield—all while staying nearly impossible to pin down. Today I’m going to show you why this is good, the gameplay loop, plus we’re going to put the build together in Destiny 2.

Why this build is good

This Radiant Dance Machines Hunter build is excellent because it creates a seamless and aggressive gameplay loop centered around mobility, ability uptime, and orb generation. The exotic leg armor, Radiant Dance Machines, enables this by granting dodge energy from final blows with primary weapons—particularly effective when paired with a rapid-fire SMG like Barrow-Dyad. Dodging automatically reloads your weapon, and since dodge energy is constantly being refunded, you can maintain relentless pressure on enemies without ever needing to manually reload. This feeds directly into your offensive rhythm, encouraging fast-paced play where every kill fuels your momentum.

The prismatic subclass adds powerful synergies that complement this loop. Threaded Spike returns melee energy with every hit and becomes even more potent when used with Grapple, which adds AoE damage and unravel effects. Meanwhile, Stylish Executioner rewards kills on debuffed enemies with invisibility and Truesight, letting you safely reposition and chain engagements. Combined with Threaded Specter, your dodge ability also becomes a defensive tool, leaving behind a decoy that draws enemy fire and spawns Threadlings, enhancing crowd control.

Fragments like Facet of Bravery, Facet of Dawn, and Facet of Purpose deepen the synergy. They grant offensive buffs like Unraveling Rounds, Radiant, and random damage-type-based benefits such as Woven Mail or Restoration—all activated by simple core actions like melee hits or picking up orbs. The armor mods reinforce this engine, enabling orb creation through powered melees and dodge-triggered kills, while orb pickups replenish health, reduce grenade cooldowns, and charge your super. This makes the build extremely sustainable in both ad-clear and boss-phase scenarios.

Altogether, this build is powerful because it turns every part of your kit—dodge, melee, grenade, and weapon—into a self-sustaining loop. Each action feeds another, creating a highly mobile, constantly buffed, and hard-to-kill Hunter who never needs to stop to reload, wait for cooldowns, or pause between engagements. It’s not just good—it’s smooth, reactive, and relentless.

Gameplay Loop

  • Start a fight with Grapple or decoy dodge → engage enemies while invisible.
  • Use Barrow-Dyad or Threaded Spike to get kills → trigger orb generation, dodge refunds.
  • Dodge reloads your weapon, leaves a decoy, and triggers Reaper mod.
  • Pick up orbs for health, grenade regen, buffs, and super energy.
  • Use melee for Radiant and energy return → chain into another dodge.
  • Use Golden Gun for burst damage and more orb generation.

Exotic Armor

Radiant Dance Machines

Radiant Dance Machines are Exotic Hunter Leg Armor and come with the perk The Dance.

The Dance – Moderately increases airborne effectiveness and hip fire mobility, range, and accuracy for weapons that use Primary ammo. Final blows with Primary ammo weapons return dodge energy, which can overflow to create additional charges when full.

Get these exotic leg armor from Master Rahool in the Tower.

Prismatic Subclass Setup

Super – Golden Gun, Your Golden Gun deals massively increased precision damage, overpenetrates targets, and creates Orbs of Power on precision hits. It expires after about 11 seconds or until all shots are fired by default.

Class ability – Marksman’s Dodge, Dodge to perform an evasive maneuver with a steady hand. Dodging automatically reloads your weapon.

Melee – Threaded Spike, Throw a rope dart that bounces between targets, damaging and severing them. The dart will return to you once it’s done, returning melee energy to you for each target hit. Press [Melee] just as the dart gets back to you to catch it and increase the amount of energy returned.

Grenade – Grapple, Weave a grappling hook, and quickly pull yourself forward. Grappling to a Tangle immediately recharges your grenade energy. During and shortly after grappling, your melee attack deals area damage and unravels targets.

Aspects

Stylish Executioner – Defeating a weakened, suppressed, or volatile target grants Invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.

Threaded Specter – Activating your class ability leaves behind a decoy woven from Strand matter that draws the attention of nearby combatants. After taking significant damage or when combatants approach, the decoy detonates, dealing damage and releasing Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby foes.

Fragments

Facet of Bravery – Defeating targets with powered melee final blows grants Unraveling Rounds to your Strand weapons.

Facet of Purpose – Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Bolt Charge, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Overshield based on the damage type of your equipped Super.

Facet of Protection – While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. While transcendent, the effect is increased.

Facet of Solitude – Landing rapid precision hits emits a severing blast from the target. While Transcendent the blast is bigger.

Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets makes you radiant. Powered melee final blows make you and nearby allies radiant.

Weapons

Barrow-Dyad (Exotic SMG)

Barrow-Dyad is an Exotic Kinetic Submachine Gun and it comes with these exotic perks.

Psychopomp (Grenade Launcher)
