Wasp Drivers are a common material in Arc Raiders, primarily obtained from Wasps, a type of flying ARC Machine. They are used in crafting, upgrades, and trading. This guide explains where to find Wasp Drivers and how to farm them efficiently.
How to Farm Wasp Drivers
Wasp Drivers are dropped at random when you loot destroyed Wasp ARC Machines. These materials can also be found in chests and Field Crates throughout the game world.
Wasps are commonly encountered enemies and can be found across most maps. When destroyed, they have a chance to drop Wasp Drivers, which can then be:
Recycled to obtain ARC Alloys, a key trading currency in Speranza.
Salvaged to obtain Electrical Components.
Best Locations to Farm Wasp Drivers
The most effective maps for farming Wasp Drivers are:
Dam Battlegrounds
Spaceport
Buried City
These locations feature frequent Wasp spawns and provide opportunities to collect multiple Drivers in a short time.
Night Maps and Raids
The night versions of these maps, available during Night Raid cycles, generally offer better loot drops, including more Wasp Drivers. However, enemies are tougher and visibility is reduced, making these missions riskier.
If Night Raids are too difficult, standard daytime raids still yield Wasp Drivers. During raids, multiple Wasps spawn alongside larger ARC Machines, allowing players to collect several drops per event.
At this time, there are no dedicated Wasp farming zones. Drops are luck-based, but exploring high-resource areas increases the likelihood of encountering more ARCs.
How to Defeat Wasps Quickly
Wasps are flying ARCs equipped with light machine guns. Their main weakness is the rotor system — shooting the two rotors will disable and destroy them quickly. This method allows for faster farming and reduces resource expenditure during combat.
Uses of Wasp Drivers
Wasp Drivers are required for several early-game upgrades and trades:
Workshop Upgrade (Level 1 → Level 2 / Gunsmith):
8× Wasp Drivers
5× Mechanical Components
3× Rusted Tools
They can also be:
Recycled into ARC Alloys.
Salvaged into Electrical Components.
Sold for 1,000 Raider Tokens each.
