How to get Scalar Potential (Legendary Pulse Rifle) in Destiny 2

Scalar Potential is a rapid-fire pulse rifle added as part of Season of the Wish. I like rapid-fire pulse rifles for PVP and this one is a decent arc damage weapon, meaning it goes well with Arc builds. Today I’d like to have a closer look at the weapon including the stats, perks, god rolls and how to get Scalar Potential in Destiny 2.

How to get Scalar Potential

The best way to get Scalar Potential is from Season of the Wish activities, given it’s a seasonal weapon, and Riven’s Lair is a good option. This is also a craftable weapon, meaning get 5 red borders and extract the deepsight to get the pattern, then you can craft your very own version on Savathun’s Thone World.

Scalar Potential

Scalar Potential is a Legendary Energy Pulse Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning it has deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. Looking at the stats we have Impact 23, Range 28, Stability 44, Handling 25, Reload Speed 35, Airborne Effectiveness 15, Rounds Per Minute 540, and Magazine 35.

The Origin Trait is Dragon’s Vengeance. When an ally dies or you reach critical health, this weapon’s magazine refills, and it gains bonus range, charge rate, and handling.

Scalar Potential god roll guide

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Enlightened Action, and Golden Tricorn would be good.

  • Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • Tactical Mag – Slightly increases stability, Increases reload speed, Slightly increases magazine size
  • Enlightened Action – Dealing damage improves reload speed and handling.
  • Golden Tricorn – Final blows with this weapon grant bonus damage. While this buff is active, grenade or melee kills of the same damage type greatly increase its damage and duration.

For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Keep Away, and Headseeker would be good.

  • Arrowhead Brake – Greatly controls recoil, Increases handling speed
  • Accurized Rounds – Increases range
  • Keep Away – Increases reload, range, and accuracy when no targets are in close proximity.
  • Headseeker – Body shots landed with this weapon increase precision damage and aim assist for a short time. Body shots landed while the perk is active refresh the time.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
