Joxer’s Longsword is the featured Crucible weapon this episode added in Heresy. This is a heavy burst void pulse rifle, which is great for void builds in PVE, and also good in PVP. Today I’m going to check out the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Joxer’s Longsword in Destiny 2.
How to get Joxer’s Longsword
To get Joxer’s Longsword you will need to play crucible matches. It’s a random reward from the end of matches, plus you can pick it up from Lord Shaxx in the Tower in exchange for 1 crucible engram. To access crucible, select it from the Director and jump into the playlist of your choice.
Joxer’s Longsword
Joxer’s Longsword is a Legendary Energy Pulse Rifle is a Heavy Burst meaning it fires a hard-hitting, two-round burst. Slightly reduces flinching from incoming fire while aiming. Looking for the stats Impact 34, Range 74, Stability 33, Handling 36, Reload Speed 33, Rounds Per Minute 324, and Magazine 18.
The Origin Trait is One Quiet Moment, this grants increased reload speed and handling when out of combat. Swords gain faster movement speed. Also we have Nadir Focus, sustained fire increases accuracy and range. Increases lunge distance for Swords, and projectile velocity for Launchers.
While Joxer’s Longsword is by no means meta-defining, it contains a variety of perks that allow it to shine when in the right scenario.
Especially with Destabilizing Rounds’ recent buff, utilizing Joxer’s Longsword in a Void build is a great idea for PvE. The obvious perk combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds is great for this use (effectively becoming a budget Graviton Lance), but opting for any of the weapon’s damage or utility-focused perks isn’t a bad idea either.
Joxer’s Longsword also finds itself around the same potency in The Crucible. While the weapon has a plethora of potent PvP perks in its final column, the first perk column is relatively lacking. Even so, Joxer’s Longsword is a great option for those who don’t want to step into a raid or Trials of Osiris for better options. Joxer’s Longsword is S-Tier for PvE and A-tier for PvP.
