How to get Edge Transit (Legendary Grenade Launcher) plus god roll guide in Destiny 2

Edge Transit is a Grenade Launcher added back in Destiny 2 with Into The Light. Previously this weapon as a meme, but given the current state of the sandbox this could be the under-the-radar best weapon added back into the game with the latest update. Today I’m going to take a closer look at Edge Transit, the stats, perks, god rolls, the limited edition, plus how to get Edge Transit in Destiny 2.

How to get Edge Transit

To get this one you’ll want to take part in the Onslaught activity, and it’s a random drop.

Additionally, you can increase the chances of a specific gun dropping by 50% by activating Weapon’s Attunement in the Hall of Champions, which features holographic statues of Lord Shaxx. If you get exhausted playing Onslaught, you can collect Trophies of Bravery from other activities and go back to Shaxx at the Hall of Champions to unlock a loot chest beside him.

There is a limited edition version of Edge Transit too. To get this you just need to play as usual and activate Attunement on Recluse. Limited edition Brave weapons can be obtained through quests from Arcite, guaranteeing a drop of one gun with ornament and curated perks. Be aware that the Limited edition versions are only going to be available during Into The Light (until June 4th), so get them while they are available.

Edge Transit

Edge Transit is a Legendary Power Grenade Launcher with an Adaptive Frame meaning it’s a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Blast Radius 50, Velocity 32, Stability 42, Handling 42, Reload Speed 39, Airborne Effectiveness 6, Rounds Per Minute 120, Magazine 6.

The origin trait is Indomitability. This provides a 2.5% ability energy from weapon final blows, determined by your chosen subclass. Light subclasses get grenade energy and dark subclasses get melee energy.

Edge Transit god roll guide

Here’s the full list of perks and all the options.

Third Column: Chain Reaction, Cascade Point, Impulse Amplifier, Field Prep, Autoloading Holster, Envious Assassin, and Repulsor Brace.

Fourth Column: Frenzy, Destabilizing Rounds, Deconstruct, Adrenaline Junkie, Bait and Switch, Full Court, and Explosive Light.

For PVE Cascade Point, Bait and Switch would be good.

  • Cascade Point – Final blows or sustained precision hits with another weapon increase this weapon’s rate of fire for a short duration.
  • Bait and Switch – Deal damage with all equipped weapons within a short time to give this weapon a damage boost.

Bungie said this about Edge Transit

With Chain Reaction getting buffed on Drum Grenade Launchers in The Final Shape, the Chain Reaction + Destabilizing Rounds combo provides some of the most potent add clear in the game, and Cascade Point + Bait and Switch is particularly synergistic for single-target damage. This weapon is also why we pulled the Heavy Grenade Launcher buff from The Final Shape into the 7.3.5 update.

Chain Reaction, Destabilizing Rounds also good.

  • Chain Reaction – Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
  • Destabilizing – Final blows cause nearby targets to become volatile.

For PVP Impulse Amplifier, Explosive Light would be good.

  • Impulse Amplifier – Massively increases projectile velocity, increases reload speed.
  • Explosive Light – Picking up an Orb of Power increases the next projectile’s blast radius and damage.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
