How to get Drang (Legendary Sidearm) plus god roll guide in Destiny 2

Drang has returned once again in Ash & Iron, and it’s back and better than ever, plus it’s nice and easy to get. Today I’m going to check out the god rolls, the perks and stats, plus how to get Drang in Destiny 2.

How to get Drang

You can get Drang from The Portal, in particular you want to check out Solo or Fireteam Ops and it can drop from there as a random reward from the end of the activity. Also, keep an eye out on featured weapons in the Portal as Drang can be featured, which makes it easier to farm.

Drang

Drang is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a perk called Together Forever, which means it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Final blows with this weapon reload and overflow a bonus damage round into Sturm. Looking at the stats we have Impact 49, Range 35, Stability 60, Handling 71, Reload Speed 30, Rounds Per Minute 300, and Magazine 18.

The Origin Trait is Vanguard Determination and Roar of the Battle.

  • Vanguard Determination – After using your class ability, final blows with this weapon grant you bonus damage resistance.
  • Roar of the Battle – Being in combat for a short duration increases handling and stability.

Drang is part of a weapon set that pairs with the Exotic hand cannon, Sturm (we explain how to get Sturm here). While it benefits from that synergy, Drang stands strong on its own as a unique archetype. Among all 300 RPM sidearms, Drang easily comes out on top — boasting excellent perks for PvE and a strong PvP setup, with stats that fully support its performance.

In the current meta, sidearms shine when closing distance on enemies, and Drang excels in that role. With the sandbox favoring longer-range weapons, this sidearm can be a true game-changer in close-quarters combat. Its perk combinations allow it to clear groups of enemies efficiently or clutch out tight duels, making it a versatile and rewarding weapon to use. Overall, Drang ranks firmly in A-Tier for both PvE and PvP.
