We don’t have much time left until the Edge of Fate releases on 15th July, so there’s still time to get some of the best weapons in the game before that drops. Today I’m going to run down some of the best weapons you can get in the game, why they are good and how to get them right now, in Destiny 2.
Without any delay, lets dive into the best weapons to get before the Edge of Fate.
Adamantite (Auto Rifle)
Adamantite is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Support Frame meaning it’s flexible and agile frame capable of healing allies and hurting foes. Harming targets builds a restorative charge. Hip firing at allies while this weapon is charged heals them, with rapid healing increasing allies’ weapon damage and spawning Unraveling projectiles.
For PVE Fluted Barrel, Flared Magwell, Reciprocity, Circle of Life, Masterwork Stability. For PVP Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Reciprocity, Kill Clip, Masterwork Range. To get the Heretical arsenal of weapons, including Adamantite, you have to take part in activities on The Nether. This can be launched via the Last City on the Director. Explore The Dreadnaught, open chests and defeat bosses and you’ll get Adamantite.
Adjudicator (Submachine Gun)
Adjudicator is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. For PVE Smallbore, Appended Mag, Subsistence, and Frenzy would be good. For PVP Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Onslaught would be good.
To get this one you’ll need to enter the Prophecy Dungeon, and beat the mini-boss at the second encounter, nicknamed The Cube. Once you get Adjudicator once, it has the chance to drop from the secret chests in the dungeon. Get it while Rite of the Nine is around for an enhanced version of the weapon.
Watchful Eye (Machine Gun)
Watchful Eye is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with an Aggressive Frame meaning it has high damage, high recoil. For PVE Fluted Barrel, High-Caliber Rounds, Overflow, Jolting Feedback, Masterwork Range. For PVP Smallbore, High-Caliber Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Sword Logic, Masterwork Stability.
To get this one you’ll want to take part in activities in The Nether, this is the activity added into Destiny 2 as part of Episode Heresy. You can access The Nether via the Last City, during Episode Heresy. Once you are in there, defeat bosses to open loot chests, and open random loot chests to get Watchful Eye.
Prosecutor (Auto Rifle)
Prosecutor is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical. For PVE Arrowhead Brake, High-Caliber Rounds, Rewind Rounds, and Voltshot would be good. For PVP Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Zen Moment and Target Lock would be good.
To get Prosecutor you’ll have to enter the Prophecy Dungeon, which you can find in the Legends tab on the Director. Prosecutor is a reward from the first boss, and when you defeat the Phalanx you’ll get a chance at the weapon to drop. You can farm the encounter when the Prophecy Dungeon is the featured dungeon for the week, this is on rotation. Get it while Rite of the Nine is around for an enhanced version of the weapon.
Lodestar (Exotic Trace Rifle)
Lodestar is an Exotic Energy Trace Rifle with a Starlight Beam meaning this weapon fires a low-intensity Arc beam with enhanced stability and accuracy.
Arc Alignment – Dealing Arc damage from any source aligns the battery’s coils. When alignment is complete, [Alternate Weapon Action] to disengage the safety and enable hip-fired Starlight Beam to apply Jolt to any targets damaged for a short time. Aim down sights to slow the rate at which the battery drains.
Lodestar is a season pass weapon for Episode Heresy, meaning you can get it at rank 1 on the paid track and rank 40 on the free track. In the future, this will get put into the Monuments to Lost Lights, the exotic kiosk in the Tower next to your vault. If you’re playing during Episode Heresy then pick it up from the Season Pass, if you’re playing in the future then check Monuments to Lost Lights, and the section for The Final Shape.
Mirror Imago (Submachine Gun)
Mirror Imago is a Legendary Kinetic Submachine Gun with an Adaptive Frame meaning it has a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. For PVE Fluted Barrel, Tactical Mag, Grave Robber, Sword Logic, Masterwork Stability. For PVP Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Moving Target, Sword Logic, Masterwork Range.
To get Mirror Imago you’ll want to take part in Episode Heresy activities like The Nether and Courts of Blades. You can find Mirror Imago in chests around The Nether, plus you could get it to drop for you at the end of Court of Blades when you defeat the boss. You can also focus farm this weapon by selecting it from the Tomb of Want, and you can find that in Eris’ apartment in the Last City. You’ll also find The Nether and Court of Blades in the Last City too. If you want an Adept version of the weapon, then try Expert difficulty of both The Nether and Court of Blades.
No Survivors (Submachine Gun)
No Survivors is a Legendary Energy Submachine Gun with an Aggressive Frame meaning it deals high damage, but has a high recoil. For PVE Fluted Barrel, Flared Magwell, Heal Clip, Incandescent, Masterwork Reload Speed, Origin Trait Gravity Well. For PVP Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Rangefinder, Master of Arms, Masterwork Range, Origin Trait Gravity Well.
To get this from from Ghosts of the Deep you can get No Survivors by completing the first and the second encounters. While Rite of the Nine is available you can also get this to drop from the chest in Eternity by the Emmissary, plus you can attune to the weapon to further increase your chances for getting it. Get the weapon while Rite of the Nine is here, otherwise you’ll have to get it via the traditional dungeon drops in Ghosts of the Deep.
Lost Signal (Grenade Launcher)
Lost Signal is a Legendary Kinetic Grenade Launcher with an Area Denial Frame meaning it’s a burst fire Grenade Launcher. Each projectile creates a lingering pool on impact that deals damage over time. The Origin Trait here is Radiolara Transposer. Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.
For PVE Volatile Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Lead from gold and Vorpal Weapon.
Lost Signal is a weapon added into Destiny 2 as part of Episode 1 Echoes, that means you can play activities part of Echoes to get it. This is also available on the season pass.
Pyschopomop (Grenade Launcher)
Psychopomp is a Legendary Energy Grenade Launcher with an Area Denial Frame meaning it’s a burst fire Grenade Launcher. Each projectile creates a lingering pool on impact that deals damage over time. For PVE Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Ambitious Assassin, Rolling Storm, Velocity Masterwork. For PVP Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Threat Detector, Harmony, Velocity Masterwork.
To get this one complete activities on The Nether, beat bosses and open loot chests and you’ll get the episodic weapons. You;ll also get this weapon by running through the story in Act 1 of Episode Heresy. The Nether is very generous with dishing out weapons, so run around with your fireteam, defeat Taken and Dread enemies and you’ll get Psychopomp in no time at all. You can also focus farm for this weapon, you have to get the Tomb of Want, and then you can focus down on Heresy weapons, and individual weapons, in a build of the tonic system from last season.
Aberrant Action (Rocket Sidearm)
Aberrant Action is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a rocket-assisted frame meaning sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage. The Origin Trait here is Radiolara Transposer. Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.
For PVE Volatile Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Beacon Rounds, Incandescent would be good.
Aberrant Action is a weapon added into Destiny 2 as part of Episode 1 Echoes, that means you can play Breach Executable to get it.
