Pyrogale Gauntlets Solar Titan Build in Destiny 2

Pyrogale Gauntlets are Exotic gauntlets for Titans, and together with the solar subclass and solar weapons you can create a very good Solar build. Today I’m going to run through that build, why it’s good, the gameplay loop plus how to put the build together in Destiny 2.

Why this build is good

This is a great Solar build for Titans which allows for great ad clear capabilities, plus it’s very hard to die. By killing enemies you are creating sunspots due to Sol Invictus and sunspots grant restoration plus you are getting your abilities back super fast when you are dealing scorch damage. Radiant and Restoration are almost constantly up due to Ember of Empyrean.

Consecration will allow you to create more scorch damage, and then with Pyrogale Gauntlets you’ll be creating cyclones of fire. You’ll be constantly scorching enemies, which works great with Ember of Searing allown you to get your melees back nice and quickly. This will help create firesprites, again, helping you get abilities back nice and quickly.

Gameplay loop

Get kills with Sunshot to proc radiant
Scorch everything with your Sunshot, consecration, and sunspots
Look for orbs and firesprites
Refund all your ability energy
Use your throwing hammer to debuff a boss
Pop burning maul for massive damage

Exotic Armor

Pyrogale Gauntlets are Titan Solar Exotic arms which comes with the perk Percussive Flames.

Percussive Flames – Modifies Burning Maul into a single, high-damage slam of your hammer that creates several cyclones of flame. Consecration’s second slam creates a cyclone of flame.

You can get this from Master Rahool in the Tower.

Solar Subclass setup

Super – Burning Maul, Summon a flaming maul and crush targets with the force of an earthquake. Light Attack. Spin the maul in a circle around you, damaging nearby targets. Heavy Attack, Slam the maul to the ground and create a cyclone of flames that seeks targets, dealing damage and scorching them.

Class – Rally Baricade, Creates a small barrier that you can peek over while aiming down sights; increases weapon reload speed, stability, and range. Draws hostile fire when you stand behind it.

Melee – Throwing Hammer, Throw a hammer from a distance. Picking up a thrown hammer fully recharges your melee ability. If the hammer struck a target, picking it up grants cure.

Grenade – Healing Grenade, A grenade that cures allies on impact and creates an Orb of benevolent Solar Light, granting restoration to allies when picked up.

Aspects

Sol Invinctus – Solar ability final blows, Hammer of Sol impacts, and defeating scorched targets creates Sunspots. Your abilities regenerate faster, and your Super drains more slowly while standing in a Sunspot. Sunspots apply scorch and deal damage to targets inside. Entering a Sunspot applies restoration.

Consecration – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to launch a wave of Solar energy forward, damaging and scorching targets in front of you as you leap into the air. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to slam to the ground and create a second larger wave of damaging Solar energy. If the wave hits a scorched target, they ignite.

Fragments

Ember of Singeing – Your class ability recharges faster when you scorch targets.

Ember of Empyrean – Solar Kills extend the duration of Restoration and Radiant effects up to the maximum of 15 seconds.

Ember of Ashes – You apply more scorch stacks to targets.

Ember of Searing – Killing Scorched enemies spawns a Firesprite and grants Melee Ability Energy based on Enemy Rank.

Weapons

The Call (Rocket Sidearm)

The Call is a Legendary Strand Sidearm with a Rocket-Assisted Frame meaning the sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage. The Call is a weapon tied to The Pale Heart of the Traveler. Completing activities in this area will help you get the weapon.

Sunshot (Exotic Hand Cannon)

Sunshot is the only 150 rpm hand cannon left in the game, plus it’s an Exotic Energy Hand Cannon. Let’s check out the gun itself.

  • Sunburn – This weapon fires explosive rounds and highlights targets that take damage from Sunshot.
  • Sun Blast – Targets killed with Sunshot explode in Solar energy.

You can get this exotic hand cannon from Xur.

Fixed Odds (Machine Gun)

Fixed Odds is a Legendary Power Machine Gun with a High-Impact Frame meaning it’s slow-firing and high-damage. To get this one you will have to run the Duality Dungeon. I got this one to drop for me from the final boss encounter.

Mods

Head
Heavy Ammo Finder – Increases the drop chance of Heavy ammo upon defeat of an opponent.
Solar Siphon – Rapid Solar weapon final blows create an Orb of Power.

Arms
Focusing Strike – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a powered melee attack.
Solar Loader – Increases reload speed of Solar weapons.

Chest
Arc Resistance – Reduces incoming Arc damage from combatants.
Solar Resistance – Reduces incoming Solar damage from combatants.
Void Resistance – Reduces incoming Void damage from combatants.

Legs
Solar Weapon Surge – Your Solar weapons gain a small bonus to damage while you have any Armor Charge. Your Armor Charge now decays over time.

Class Item
Powerful Attraction – Automatically collects nearby Orbs of Power when you activate your class ability.
Time Dilation – Your decaying Armor Charge has a longer duration.
