Abyssal Edge is a strand sword that’s been added to Destiny 2 in Episode Heresy. This is a wave frame sword, which is quite rare, so now is a great time to get it. Today I am going to go through the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get Abyssal Edge in Destiny 2.
How to get Abyssal Edge
To get the Abyssal Edge you’ll want to take part in activities in The Nether, which can be accessed from The Last City via the director. Open chests, complete activities and beat bosses to get loot drops, and you may get Abyssal Edge to drop for you. You can focus farm Abyssal Edge through the Tomb of Want, which you’ll find in your inventory screen, and you can focus weapons there, which makes it more likely for your chosen loot to drop.

Abyssal Edge is a Legendary Power Sword with a Wave Sword Frame meaning heavy attack deploys a shockwave uppercut and launches the user into the air. An immediate follow up swing after the uppercut deploys a homing strike that aggressively seeks a target. Looking at the stats we have Swing Speed 40, Impact 60, Charge Time 20, Charge Rate 20, Magazine 50, Ammo Capacity 60.
The Origin Trait here is Willing Vessel. Dealing damage or defeating targets with this weapon gradually grants increased stability, handling, reload speed, and charge rate. This effect gradually decreases over time but is gained more quickly while near allies. We also have Runneth Over, finishing a reload overfills the Magazine from reserves by 10% of the Base Magazine Capacity (rounded up) for each ally within 15 meters.

For PVE Hungry Edge, Balanced Guard, Relentless Strikes, Surrounded would be good.
- Hungry Edge – Increased sword ammo
- Balanced Guard – Sword Guard has balanced overall defenses.
- Relentless Strikes – Landing three light-attack hits within a short time grants Sword ammo.
- Surrounded – This weapon gains bonus damage when three or more enemies are in close proximity.
For PVP Jagged Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Valiant Charge, Hatchling would be good.
- Jagged Edge – Increased damage at the cost of sword ammo.
- Swordmaster’s Guard – Sword Guard has low overall defenses, but increases charge rate.
- Valiant Charge – Receiving damage while guarding temporarily increases Sword lunge distance.
- Hatchling – Precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets with this weapon spawns a Threadling at the target’s location.
