Ballidorse Wrathweavers are about to become one of the most popular exotic armor pieces for Warlocks in Episode because of the massive buff to roaming supers going live tomorrow. This build is going to get you ahead of the game with it’s focus on stasis crystals and the huge amount of damage we can cause our enemies. Today I’m going to look at how to get Ballidorse Wrathweavers, why this build is good, then walk through how to create the build so you can get 3 times the supers with your stasis warlock in Destiny 2.
How to get Ballidorse Wrathweavers
To get this one you’ll need to reset your rank with Master Rahool in the Tower, which means ranking up past rank 16 and collecting the rank rewards. Then navigate to the 4th page on the right hand side and select Ballidorse Wrathweavers and trade in the required materials.
Why this build is good
This build centers around 2 things; the exotic armor Ballidorse Wrathweavers and the exotic weapon Salvation’s Grip.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers come with the perk Hearts of Ice where targets frozen by your Winter’s Wrath Super take increased Shatter damage. Allies in range of your Winter’s Wrath shockwave and Frostpulse gain Frost Armor and deal increased damage with Stasis weapons. Granting these buffs to allies grants you Super energy.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers are about to dramatically increase in popularity because Bungie is buffing roaming supers in Act 2 of Episode Revenant. Bungie said the following:
“Starting with Act II, we will be changing the damage-based recharge parameters for all roaming Supers against PvE combatants only and increasing the amount of Super energy gained when damaging combatants by roughly 3x the amount it is today. The intent here is that you are more likely to have a roaming Super when you need it for that panic activation or to jump an enemy spawn point. In our internal playtests, we’ve been having a blast with extra activations per encounter or activity and it is especially spicy with fireteam coordination. As a reference, if you were using between 3 and 5 Nova Bombs while playing an Advanced Nightfall, you can now charge around 6 or 8 Nova Warp activations in the same activity.”
Given this season is all about stasis, now combined with this buff Ballidorse Wrathweavers builds are going to be very strong.
Salvation’s Grip is a great exotic weapon to pair with any Stasis or Stasis-learning Prismatic build given Crycannon and Shatter Shot. We can create a large amount of Stasis crystals on the battlefield and then make them explode to cause huge damage to enemies.
Let’s have a closer look at the build.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers Warlock Stasis build
Subclass – Stasis
Healing Rift – Conjure a well of power that continuously heals those inside it.
Penumbral Blast – Raise your Stasis staff against your foe. Send a blast of [Stasis] Stasis forward to freeze your targets.
Duskfield Grenade – A grenade that shatters on impact, leaving behind a field that slows targets and freezes those who do not leave the volume.
Aspects
Glacial Harvest – Freezing targets creates Stasis shards around the frozen targets. Higher tier combatants create more shards. While Glacial Harvest is equipped, picking up Stasis shards grants stacks of Frost Armor.
Bleak Watcher – Hold to convert your grenade into a Stasis turret that fires slowing projectiles at nearby targets.
Fragments
Whisper of Fissures – Increases the damage and size of the burst of Stasis when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.
Whisper of Bonds – Killing Frozen enemies spawns an Orb of Power that grants 2.5% Super Energy.
Whisper of Shards – Shattering a Stasis crystal temporarily boosts your grenade recharge rate. Shattering additional Stasis crystals increases the duration of this benefit.
Whisper of Durance – Slow that you apply to targets lasts longer. For those abilities that linger, their duration will also increase.
Weapons
Primary – Veiled Threat
Veiled Threat is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning it has deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty. The Origin Trait for this one is Radiolaria Transposer. Rapid final blows cause targets to explode into a pool of radiolarian fluid.
To get Veiled Threat you’ll want to take part in Echoes activities including Breach Executable, which can be launched from the H.E.L.M. Also, Echoes Battlegrounds. Once you complete the intro quest for the Episode. Or open up echoes engrams.
If you haven’t got this one, then another stasis primary weapon would be good, ideally with Headstone or another stasis perk.
Energy – Indebted Kindness
Indebted Kindness is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a Rocket-Assisted Frame means sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage.
This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.
You can get this one from the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon.
Power – Salvation’s Grip
This is an exotic power grenade launcher with the exotic perks
Cryocannon – This weapon’s charged projectiles create a pattern of Stasis crystals on impact and freeze nearby targets.
Shatter Shot – This weapon’s uncharged projectiles deal bonus damage to Stasis crystals and frozen targets. Rapidly destroying multiple Stasis crystals reloads this weapon from reserves.
Exotic Armor – Ballidorse Wrathweavers
Hearts of Ice – Targets frozen by your Winter’s Wrath Super take increased Shatter damage. Allies in range of your Winter’s Wrath shockwave and Frostpulse gain Frost Armor and deal increased damage with Stasis weapons. Granting these buffs to allies grants you Super energy.
Mods
Harmonic Siphon – Spawns and orb of power when getting 2 kills with a weapon matching your super element.
Ashes to assets – Gain bonus Super energy on grenade kills.
Heavy Ammo Finder – Increases the drop chance of Heavy ammo upon defeat of an opponent.
Bolstering Detonation – Grants class ability energy when you cause damage with a grenade.
Grenade Kickstart – Collecting an Orb of Power causes you to gain 1 temporary Armor Charge.
Arc/Solar/Void Resistance
Innervation – Reduces grenade cooldown each time you pick up an Orb of Power.
Stasis Weapon Surge – Increases stasis weapon damage when you have an armor charge.
Elemental Charge – Collecting a Firesprite, Ionic Trace, Stasis shard, or Void Breach, or destroying a Strand Tangle has an escalating chance to give you Armor Charge.
Bomber – Reduces grenade cooldown when using your class ability.
Powerful Attraction – Automatically collects nearby Orbs of Power when you activate your class ability.
Distribution – Reduces all ability cooldowns when using your class ability near targets.
Gameplay loop
- Kill enemies to get your super, this is going to be 3 times faster than normal due to the buff to roaming supers.
- Use Salvations Grip to pepper the battlefield with stasis crystals, then cause them to explode for bid damage. Whisper of Bonds and Ashes to Assets are going to help us generate super energy faster.
- Use our super to inflict massive damage thanks to Ballidorse Wrathweavers
- Then use stasis weapons with our increased damage thanks to Ballidorse Wrathweavers and apply buffs to your fireteam to further increase your super gains.
Overall, Ballidorse Wrathweavers are now very fun to use, so try out this build, plus you can mix and match the stasis weapons and try different combinations.
Let me know in the comments what you think.
