False Idols is a solar sword added to Destiny 2 as part of The Final Shape. This is a great vortex frame sword, and those spin attacks can be deadly with incandescent, plus there’s plenty of other great rolls for PVP and PVE content too. Today I’m going to take a look at the stats, perks, god rolls plus how to get False Idols in Destiny 2.
How to get False Idols
False Idols is a guaranteed drop from the post campaign quests after The Final Shape, all you need to do is speak to Micah-10. You’ll need to complete a few Convalesence quests, and this is the way to get many of the Pale Heart Weapons. False Idols is also craftable, meaning you can extract the 5 red borders and get the weapon pattern to craft your very own version.

False Idols is a Legendary Power Sword with a Vortex Frame meaning you can launch a heavy spin attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy. Looking at the stats we have Swing Speed 40, Impact 60, Range 40, Charge Rate 20, Magazine 47, Ammo Capacity 59.
The Origin Trait here is Dealer’s Choice. Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of Super energy. Equipping multiple weapons from the Pale Heart increases this effect.
False Idols god roll guide
For PVE Hungry Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Incandescent, One for All would be good.
- Hungry Edge – Increased sword ammo.
- Swordmaster’s Guard – Sword Guard has low overall defenses, but increases charge rate.
- Incandescent – Defeating a target spreads scorch to those nearby.
- One for All – Hitting three separate targets increases damage for a moderate duration.
For PVP Honed Edge, Balanced Guard, Strategist, Vorpal Weapon would be good.
- Honed Edge – Increased sword damage.
- Balanced Guard – Sword Guard has balanced overall defenses.
- Strategist – Final blows with this weapon generate class ability energy. Activating your class ability briefly improves this weapon’s stability.
- Vorpal Weapon – Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
