Best weapons to get from Season of the Wish in Destiny 2

This season we’ve had plenty of good weapons to chase, with a good mix of new and returning weapons across the Legendary and Exotic type. Today I want to dive into this topic, and check out the top 10 best weapons to get from Season of the Wish, so you’re ready to take on any activity in Destiny 2.

Without further delay, lets dive into the list.

Subjunctive

Subjunctive is a Legendary Energy Submachine Gun with a Lightweight Frame meaning it has superb handling. Move faster with this weapon equipped.

The Origin Trait here is Nano-munitions meaning being near allies slowly builds up a partial emergency ammo refill for the next time this weapon runs out of ammo. Emergency ammo amount increases with time spent near allies.

For PVE Smallbore, Flared Magwell, Stats for All and Voltshot would be good. For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Under Pressure and Golden Tricorn would be good.

Dragoncult Sickle

Dragoncult Sickle is a Legendary Power Sword that deals Strand damage and has a Caster Frame meaning you can Launch a heavy projectile attack. Heavy attacks are stronger with full energy.

This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.

For PvE Honed Edge, Swordmaster’s Guard, Tireless Blade and Surrounded would be good. For PvP Honed Edge, Burst Guard, Tireless Blade and En Garde would be good.

Wish-keeper

Wish-keeper is an Exotic Kinetic Combat Bow and comes with exotic perks

Snareweaver – Precision hits and final blows build energy towards a Snareweaver arrow that can be fired from the hip. On impact, Snareweaver arrows create a pattern of traps that suspend nearby targets.

Silkbound Slayer – This weapon deals bonus damage to suspended targets. Gain faster draw time for a short duration when you suspend a target from any source or damage a suspended target with this weapon.

This one comes with a number of catalysts, but they are going to be available in the weeks following the release of Wish-keeper.

Enduring Snare Refit – Snareweaver traps last longer.
Multi-threaded Snare Refit – Snareweaver traps can suspend more targets.
Vorpal Weapon Refit – Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with their Super active.
Hatchling Refit – Precision final blows or rapidly defeating targets with a non-precision weapon spawns a Threadling at the target’s location.

Breakneck

Breakneck is a Legendary Kinetic Auto Rifle with a Precision Frame meaning this weapon’s recoil pattern is more predictably vertical.

The origin trait for this one is called Gun and Run. Rapidly defeating targets with this weapon grants bonus sprint speed. Guardians, powerful combatants, and high-value targets grant this bonus quicker.

It’s not quite the monster is was before, given it doesn’t have the Rampage/Onslaught combination that made it very famous, but it’s got a great perk pool, meaning it can still do some incredible damage. Personally, I’m more likely to use autos in PVE content rather than PVP, where pulse rifles and hand cannons tend to do the most damage.

Doomed Petitioner

Doomed Petitioner is a Legendary Power Linear Fusion Rifle with an Aggressive Frame meaning it fires a three-round burst.

The Origin Trait on this one is called Dragon’s Vengeance. When an ally dies or you reach critical health, this weapon’s magazine refills, and it gains bonus range, charge rate, and handling.

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Enhanced Battery, Reconstruction, and Precision Instrument and a charge time masterwork would be good. For PVP, there are better options than a Linear Fusion Rifle, so I would go for something else in the heavy weapon slot.

Scatter Signal

Scatter Signal is a Legendary Kinetic Fusion Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame meaning deeper ammo reserves. Slightly faster reload when magazine is empty.

The Origin Trait on this one is called Dragon’s Vengeance. When an ally dies or you reach critical health, this weapon’s magazine refills, and it gains bonus range, charge rate, and handling.

For PVE Chambered Compensator, Enhanced Battery, Overflow and Controlled Burst would be good. For PVP Extended Barrel, Projection Fuse, Perpetual Motion and Under Over would be good.

Undercurrent

Undercurrent is a Legendary Energy Grenade Launcher with a Wave Frame meaning it’s a one-shot handheld Grenade Launcher. Projectiles release a wave of energy when they contact the ground.

For our Origin Traits we have

  • Stunning Recovery – Stunning a Champion partially refills your magazine, triggers health regeneration, and improves recovery for a short duration.
  • Vanguard’s Vindication – Final blows with this weapon grant a small amount of health.

For PVE Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Ambitious Assassin, Voltshot, Velocity Masterwork. For PVP Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Demolitionist, Adrenaline Junkie, Velocity Masterwork

Indebted Kindness

Indebted Kindness is a Legendary Energy Sidearm with a Rocket-Assisted Frame means sidearm fires self-propelled rocket ammunition. Projectiles explode on impact for high damage.

This one has the Origin Trait Sundering which means destroying vehicles and constructs grants this weapon bonus reload speed and charge rate. Constructs include barricades, turrets, Stasis crystals, and other objects created in the field.

For PVE Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Impulse Amplifier, Voltshot and Velocity Masterwork would be good. For PVP Quick Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Impulse Amplifier, Adagio and Velocity Masterwork would be good.

Dragon’s Breath

Burn the World (Exotic Intrinsic)

The fuel counter passively increases the longer you go without firing it, to a maximum of x5. Firing Dragon’s Breath then empties this counter, transferring all fuel to the rocket.

Rockets then embed themselves in struck targets causing Scorch damage and periodically ejecting incendiary fuel into pools around the target that inflict Scorch damage to anyone standing in them. The more fuel a rocket is fired with, the longer it lasts before detonating and the more fire it spreads.

High Octane (Exotic Intrinsic)

With this Intrinsic, nearby ignitions instantly refill your Dragon’s Breath with 2 fuel. Plus, when its fuel fully refills, it reloads itself!

Once you’ve got this thing in hand, make sure to pay a visit to the Gunsmith in the Tower so you can get the quest for the Exotic catalyst. Speaking of which…

Pyromancer (Exotic Catalyst)

This catalyst passively replenishes your Dragon Breath’s fuel faster. Eliminating combatants with this weapon causes them to spawn Firesprites, too. To get the catalyst you’ll want to pick this uo from Banshee-44. You’ll need to get the weapon from the season pass before you go to Banshee-44.

Ros Arago IV

Ros Arago IV is a Legendary Energy Auto Rifle with an Adaptive Frame meaning it’s a well-rounded grip, reliable and sturdy. Looking at the stats we have Impact 21, Range 42, Stability 37, Handling 57, Reload Speed 56, Airborne Effectiveness 18, Rounds Per Minute 600, and Magazine 41.

The Origin Trait is called Wild Card. Final blows with this weapon have a chance to create experimental submunitions at the target’s location.

For PVE Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Rewind Rounds, Onslaught and Range masterwork. For PVP Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Onslaught and Stability Masterwork.

Let me know in the comments what you think, and share your favourite weapons.
